Dreams with a rune...

I had a very strong dream about 2 nights ago. Much of it has faded but certain imagery will not fade from my mind and sticks like peanut butter to the roof of your mouth. I can't get the imagery to go away, so perhaps it means something and I would like help discoverying what it means.

I dreamt that I was wearing a necklace and a large cream colored rune was the pendant. The necklace was rather long, the pendent touching my belly. I remembering running in the dream and the pendent would bounce like crazy so I had to hold it as I ran. The rune was a horizontal line, --- just like that. Nothing more nothing less. I remember looking at it in the dream and wondering what the rune meant so in the dream I picked up a rune book off a bookshelf, opened it up, and underneath a picture of that rune it said, reality.

Any and all interpretations welcome and looked for!

That's really odd, because runes don't have horizontal lines at all, ever! Runes were originally carved into wood, and so had to go vertically because of the grain of the wood. That being said, a single line is "Isa"; winter, patience, enduringness. It means to sit a situation out; weather the storm; wait for the spring to come and the ice to melt.

Adding this to "reality" I would guess it means that in reality you need to wait patiently for something to happen :whatgives

I really know very little about you Arinya, but the rune touching your belly... :huh: are you thinking about children or the desire for a more motherly role, or more secure home-life or something like that? If so, perhaps that's what you need to wait for :)

It could be Isa because perhaps I was holding the rune the wrong way in my dream? Heh.

The idea for a more motherly role, well...July 4th was our (my SO and I) 2nd year anniversary but we have no plans for a wedding or children anytime soon. If anything I fear children still, but all of friends seem to be having them left and right... I have been trying to clean our apartment with the idea that I want it as clean and a stable as my mother's house. Lots of ideas here, thanks!
