Hey there,
I'm new here and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a 22 year old girl who's turning 23 this October (real name's mahogohney, nice to meet you). wiccian is pretty new to me.
i've always been into the spiritual (my family included) but have not really looked into wiccian until now.
most of my life I've been interested in witchcraft, spirits and divination
in one way or another...needless to say, Halloween has always been a favorite holiday for me aside from christmas. ( i was born a week before halloween, so i guess it should be :p). Aside from spirituality, i'm an avid student artist with high hopes of being darn good some day. well, it's nice to meet you all,
and i hope to get the know the bunch of you.

There are quite a few of us in many different areas, photography, poetry, digital, traditional, sculpture, you name it! :) I and a few other just start "Sketch Threads" that we post our stuff on... You can upload your art to our photoalbum which has an FAQ for it located here in the forums...
That peice you did is nice! And there is no shame in posting what you have, I have gotten GREAT critiques of my work from the others around here. :)

kazzeh, good to meet another artist. heh, i'm in the process of polishing up my skills myself...relearning the basics by book (i'm studying from "Secrets to drawing realistic faces"...excelent book for anyone and uses alot of measureing...which is cheating, i know ) anyway, i hope to see your work soon enough (dont be like me and keep your art work locked up for ages) By the way, to Druchii : i just realized you gave me karma points! thanks. :)

heyyz. *grin* it's always nice to meet someone else who shares your interest. i suppose we can be friends? *yay* and i love your artwork, it's wonderful! i don't know what to say about mine... haven't have got much practice, i only really started doing proper, serious drawing last year. so far i see improvement, but... *hides face in a dustbin* after seeing all this nice artwork out there i'm so... so... disappointed with myself. i ithnk i'm not working hard enough... *points to avatar* one day i wanna beat that. well... what can i say? my colouring skills on the com isn't that wonderful yet. well, we shall both work hard towards our goal! (ahhh druchii: yet another stunning artist. btw i don't know if ya received the pm, but thanks for the karma too! it was really nice of you!)

Yeah, I did. :) Have faith in your ability, but not ego. To be humble and know that there is no plateau in art is to succeed. I have freinds that I aspire to being like and idols like Alan Lee and John Howe, that make me realize that there is always room for improvement. One should never be ashamed or worried about your first steps in becoming an artist of any calibur. :) Everyone has to start somewhere. :)
