This may turn out to be somewhat controversial, and i've been holding off on posting this but i'd really like to know toher's opinions on this.

Do you think it's possible for a spirit to take physical form, whether it be using a vessel that is already "in use" or by somehow creating a new physical vessel? I really won't get into details about why i'm asking, if anyone really wants to know they can PM and ask but i'm curious as to what all of you think. I think it could be possible, especially if the certain spirit has appeared in numerous past lives and seems to always be present, why not just find a physical form or create one somehow?

I've only run this by a couple people, all of which know what's going on and everything and they belive it could happen.

Bah..I dunno..if someone wants me to delete this i'll be more than happy too, i'm sure it sounds pretty farfetched. :/

I don't think it sounds to far fetched! I really don't see why a spirit could take a physical form, some Buddhist monks, I think, are able to create whole new physical being just by concerntrating on it enough, so why couldn't an already exhisisting being come to "life"? We're all made up of the same stuff anyways, just vibrating at different "frequencies". But this is just my opinion. :vanish:

Some would argue that spirits take on physical forms all the time -- reincarnation. And possession is when a spirit inhabits a body that already has a spirit (perhaps just going along for the ride, perhaps displacing the previous spirit.) Bilocation is a term used for those rare instances where a person appears to be in two places, physically, at the same time.

There is a lot of stuff in the magickal literature about "artificial entities" too (elementals, golems, guardian entities created by magick, etc.) so it wouldn't really surprise me too much if spirits could manifest through similar methods, whether on the physical plane or on nonphysical levels.

Thanks for the replies, it defiitely makes me feel better. I believe in reincarnation (kinda hard for me not to) but I didn't think that reincarnation would be the case for he situation i'm currently in. Posession makes more sense, but it seems as if the concept of posession gets a bad name because of things you see in the movies and all. The spirit in questions bears an eerie resemblance to someone I know, and after talking to this person I found out that his parents were gifted people, but that he himself wasn't sure of his beliefs. Anyway I was thinking he may turn out to be the reincarnation of the spirit that used to be with me all the time (who ironicly disappeared one night last week after a really interesting moment where I was able to recall a bunch of my past lives) and that he just needs something to trigger him and maybe even "pull" what could be just another part of him that he hasn't realized yet back into him, and maybe the being that's been around me wasn't really a spirit at all but some kind of..I dunno, piece of him that needed to remind me of something. who knows how much sense that makes..but it seems to make a lot of sense to me.

A sprit has no limits, only we do! Yes they can take on a physical form.

Have you ever heard of Walk-ins?

Nope, what would that be?

I should think it quite possible as well. I have talked to people who have had spirits materialize during a sitting with a medium- and the spirit let those present touch it, to confirm that it was in deed a material form.
