I was Kurgarra. Hi! :spinner:

I had "Formerly Kurgarra" as my user title thingy, but since changing that out and throwing in a new banner.. I figured I might be confusing somebody out there...

I'd used it for years previously. Taking the name Kurgarra was kind of a way of going slightly anonymous for a while.

When I first started using it, I was about to join a coven, and we'd just gotten the internet. I thought I might need a coven name, and so started thinking about it. I had been re-reading the Chronicles of Narnia, and remembered my love of the tree people. I'd also watched Clerks again, and the name Sylvan stuck in my head. Looked it up, and lo and behold, it meant "one that frequents groves or woods". Come to find out that the group didn't use special names, so I started using it on the net instead. Got so used to it that I'd answer to it if I heard it called...

Your nephew sounds like my 6.5 yr old son! LOL He says to hubby last night, "Daddy, let's go spill some blood." Then when I protested, he says, "Mommy, I got that from Two Towers, it means 'let's kill some orcs'." I looked over at my hubby, who just shrugged and smiled sheepishly. I rolled my eyes and just let it go, lol. A total LOTR freak, my kid.

Anyway, Merry Meet Sylvan--I recognized your avatar from your Kurgarra days, and it made me wonder what I'd missed, lol!

:D I took this picture of him when we were on vacation a few weeks ago. Mom was leading him around on the horse, and I asked that he hang on while I get the camera ready. He struck this pose and held it for like a minute and a half while I got the camera set up.. :lol:
