Okay, I've just done a google search concerning the astrological dates of this years Sabbat.

It says on the following website : Spring of Niksa - Astrological Sabbat Dates (http://groups.msn.com/SpringofNiksa/astrologicalsabbats.msnw)

that the date of Imbolc is February 4th, and when pushed forward by six months (to allow for the Southern Hemisphere adjustment, it would make it August 4 ... but when I look further down to Lammas (August 7th - altered to February 7th) that's where I get confused.

Would Imbolc, for the Southern Hemisphere be held on February 4th or February 7th?

If possible could somebody point me in the direction of a website that transcribes the dates astrologically for the Southern Hemisphere.

Bendithion,
RubyRose

ive just found one site that says imbolc is 1st or 2nd of august in southern hemisphere. which makes sense to me as imbolc is feb 2nd up here in the north. :nyah: lol (http://www.users.on.net/~arachne/seasons.html)

okies i was googling imbolc 2004 southern hemisphere while writing this post and the websites that ive had a look at all seem to agree on the 1st and/or 2nd of august.
hope that helped ruby

Hhmmm. See those are the dates I have, before taking into consideration the astrological shift ...

This is somewhat confusing.

Thanks for the help though fay :hugz:

You could celebrate it when you start to see buds on the trees etc, rather than by a specific date?

If it's any help, if the anglo-saxons celebrated Imbolc, they'd probably have done it on the first new moon in february :crazyman:
