Bring an umbrella. :p
I love it there. It's a great city. The cost of living is comparible to any other large city like New York or San Francisco, though there are less expensive areas outside the city. I don't know much about the Pagan community, but it's one of the more laid-back cities I've been to.
Nighthawk!!! Aren't you out that way?

Be prepared for rain except during July and August, and even then, keep an umbrella near.

I live right near Seattle and posted several things in it. I also have some links on my site that might help you:

Good quality of life, a lot of gloom--less than 65 cloud-free days a year, it's pretty clean compared to a lot of cities, we have our crime but so do all places, lots of hi tech and coffee here, pagan scene is pretty eclectic and a lot of different organizations (none of which that I belong to--I'm not a joiner, so I'm not recommending anybody). Several pagan fests in the northwest every year if you're into that--one near Samhain in WA, one for Spring Equinox in WA, one in northern Oregon for Fall Equinox...
Big gay community, active diversity here--a lot of different races/cultures/etc. Lot of SUV's. Everything from Gucci to Birkenstocks depending on the person.
Good luck with your move, hope this helps.

Hello, yes I am... I am South of the city.. I think you will love it here, if you like rain in the fall, winter and spring. It is around 80 this wekk, and no rain. But, it will not last forever. Depending on what you like, there is a lot here....as well as the coast and over the mountains, near desert. Right on
