I am in a panic right now, I remember reading in my Book of Shadows a ritual of passage to become a Witch and now I cant find it. I need help because I want to do this on the Blue moon that is coming on the 30th of July. Can someone explain to me the ritual I need to perform or maybe a link to a website that has exact detail. I feel all stressed out now grrrrrrrrr . Also does anyone one have any insite of how their ritual went? I really would appreciate any input because I really want this to go beautifully. Thanks again for your help and Blessed Be :heartthro :heyalove:

My $.02? I think that the ritual would mean so much more to you and to Deity if you wrote one yourself.. created an offering, if you see fit.. bought some new supplies to use and consecrate.. ultimately, your dedication should be between you and Them, not something someone else has written out for you. Suggestions I can offer, though:
-Bake some fresh bread and buy some wine or juice to use in the ritual.
-Write poems, chants, songs, or even just a plain-words dedication that you can recite.
-Take your religious jewelry, supplies, or anything you wish to put 'witchy mojo' in and use that time to consecrate them to your Path
-Take the day for YOU! Take a bubble bath, get your nails done.. have a Goddess day. Not only will it make you feel so much better (and less stressed ;)) but IMO it's always better to go into a ritual -especially one as personal and special as your dedication- looking and feeling your absolute best.
I don't know if that was helpful, per-se.. but I couldn't find a dedication ritual (my internet is being evil). I hope your day goes well, and congratulations on finding your Path! :hugz:

It's advisable to start as you mean to go on as far as circles are concerned... but I think the circle gives you the security and comfort you need to be fully relaxed in the presence of the gods... Plus it's just more polite... Imagine the difference between "Uh... yeah, Come on over Goddess, I've got this great little patch of grass..." and "Here, Goddess, I have cast and consecrated a circle in your name..." ;)

Practice casting a circle before you do it on the big day... (I can PM you one that I wrote if you'd like) That way you'll know what you're doing and you won't be nervous. My best friend and I initated one another, it's a beautiful experience to share with a friend and it will bring you closer ^_^
Don't be too formal about what you're doing... just do what feels right to you. You're presenting yourselves to the Goddess and God and saying "Here I am, just as you made me and I'm ready to be a witch!".
Ultimately remember, no ritual will make you a witch... When you are a witch, you know it deep inside. The ritual gives you a chance to declare it to the universe and to the Gods... good luck!

If I may suggest you may wish to due that with Lammas in mind and ask Lughnasadh to help you become better at what it is you desire (a Witch). Here is a link: http://www.circlesanctuary.org/pholidays/Lammas.html
