My Grandfather, who was 75%Irish (his mother was half scots)...had a plack over his door that read...

"May you reach heaven, an hour before the Devil know's your dead". When he moved out of his house on the mountain, I made sure that my parents retrieved that placque for me. Such a cute little saying. So irish. This just reminded me of that..similar to an irish blessing..but...Cherokee :)
