I just finished reading, well inhaling, A wisewoman's Guide to spells, rituals and goddess lore by Elisabeth Brooke. Since the other thread was soooo long, I just thought Id pop in with the fact that this book, which covers goddess worship past adn present, a brief hx of the craft, festivals, etc, etc, wheel of hte year tarot, herbal lore, as well as a fascinating ovewwview of the shift from the Mothergod old ways to the Fathergod religions of the Xian world, is packed with info on Hecate. I learned a lot. The writer is a psychotherapist, teaches herbal medicine and astrology as is into the womens mysteries. She is fron/in England. Since I am going into a helping profession if I ever get out of school and get a real job rather than the play one with no pay I have now, this is what I want to do..work with women in some capacity, crises intervention victim assistance or the like. Anyway, just thought I'd pass this on. BB :hmmmmm:

BridgeWitch: Thank you so much for this post! I have been like a crazy woman the past several weeks trying to find and read everything about Hecate that I possibly can! And when I do read something -- I'm so thrilled to be quenching my thirst for knowledge. But minutes after it's over I'm off again, trying to find another book or website to feed my Hecate addiction! I'll try to find this book!

Thanks for the info also. I've recently lost my conversations with Bast. But it seems as soon as She no longer contacted me, I started hearing from Hekate. I've been doing lots of research and reading online about her. For the past week, I've asked her one simple thing every night before falling asleep "Hekate, if you would have me as a devote follower, please send me a sign in my dreams." The first 2 nights, I got nothing. But for 4 nights in a row now, there's been something there. Sometimes, it's really subtle and I won't remember it right away after waking up. It'll come to me later in the day.

F.Y.I. I just did a little shopping on www.half.com and www.amazon.com
Both sites have the book. Half.com has it as low as $5.00 and Amazon.com as low as $2.32. Both used.
