Different paths

My wife and I are trying to learn together. She is leaning ,ore towards the healing, candle magic, etc. i am not exactly sure of my path although I am interested in the Celtic Paths. Can my wife and I have different paths but still study and practice together?? Is there a happy medium? Will our paths, if different, conflict with each other? We have been stuggleing with what paths to follow for over 2 years.

can you still work together? The question is, do you WANT to?

If your practise differs from your wife's, then obviously you won't share the same rituals, at least not according to your chosen paths. However, if you're both open-minded about it, you could write out specific things or rituals to do together, that have no other purpose than have you experience or celebrate together as a couple.

There are no rules except those you lay down (or accept from others)!

My SO and I are differant. We both love the others uniqueness. We work alone and together. When we work together we blend the 2 because in our eyes, when we blend the two we are representing our unity as one. From that perspective we feel good about eachother adding our own flavor to the mix.

same here .. my SO is more the healer than i am. though i do have a modest healing gift. i have more of a warrior style to my workings. when we get together on something we just bring it all together. somehow it works.

I thank you all for your input. It is very helpful. I do want to work together with her. I want us to pursue our paths together. We have been together for 5 yrs and we've always done everything together. Our relationship still feels like the first time we met. We are very close and I plan on remaining that way.

Awww, that sounds wonderful. In such a close relationship, I'm sure you'll find a way to practise together without giving up your individual paths :)
