Why is it that people just absolutely insist on talking to me at 7:30 in the morning??? I'm not awake. I haven't had any type of sugar or caffeine and i'm cranky. I do n't want to talk to you. Just because you held the door open for me and I said thank you, does not mean that we are now life long best buds and should talk about what our husbands are going to be like and what we are going to name our three children. *snickers*
Also combined with this is the creepy Enterprise Rent-A-Car dude who always insists on talking to me when I walk by on my way into the office. *shudders* :2G: :wtf: boys are retarded, really the are. There was a whole memo about it.

Oh wait...that's not coffee. :D

Could be worse, we could have to do chemical warefare training without coffee. :hairraise Or at all for that matter.

I'm up at five every morning for work and i'm grumpy as anything until about 6. The problem comes on time off because I still get up at the same time so by 7 when my non military friends get up, i'm hyper and raring to go while they are still half asleep. I've got loads of time off at the moment and I still can't manage to lie in. If i'm awake they I may as well be up doing something.

This is true... You know.. my boss will figure out some day that talking to me about actual work or work problems is a BAD idea the first hour that I'm at my desk.. someone is liable to die. :2G:

but on the upside, she just took her zoloft and her codeine so she's alllllllllllllll good for the next hour or so. *snickers*

I do try to respect those who are NOT moring people, but I have probably pissed off my fair share of non-morning people. I can't help it if I wake up fresh and full of energy, but I really do try to keep it "tame" for those who suffer through mornings instead of enjoying them like I do.

My good friend and neighbor who lives behind us on the next street, has three little kids. She's just like me - say 10 years ago ....

Anyway one day last week the middle one of hers comes bouncing at my front door.
Here I was sitting at the computer (my morning "show" I call it).....reading email and visiting my message boards like I do each morning. My daughters are teenagers - they sleep till noon - right?
But noooo...
lil miss decides to LAY on the doorbell..............
seriously rings it like 15 times before I got to the door.

Out of breath and looking to absolutely KILL whoever is standing there...I FLING open the door..
thinking - Jeebus, I've not even had a cup of coffee yet.....

in front of me are strikingly blue alert and shiny eyes....
and a big smile that waved a banner all its own beneath that head of touseled blonde hair...
"morning, Auntie Bri" she purrred.

All my fire, aggrivation and frustration left me in one instant.
Who cared if I'd had coffee yet? What could be more precious than that smiling face first thing in the morning?

I opened the door and plopped myself on the stoop - scooped her into my lap and explained that it's probably not a good idea to ring a doorbell More than once. We chatted. I said sorry for not having burshed my teeth yet, cause I'd not really been awake that long. She replied with an undeniable:
"Oh, I've been awake for hours..."
Skipped (who skips at that hour of the day?) yep....skipped to her little bike. Donned her riding hat again - pulled that strap tight and was off and on her way around the block....

leaving a trail of fairy dust behind her I'm sure I saw that twinkly stuff in a cloud behind her.....
::blink::blink::blink::

Ok...so I'm not a morning person. So, I really don't want to BE friendly first thing in the morning. So I brush my teeth AFTER I drink my coffee...

so I'm not really Fit for human company before - say 9 am....

Thank the Goddess for Ellie..............she changed all that in about 3 mins.
her and her smile, bright twinkly eyes - her cheery disposition and the fact that she JUST had a NEED to pop by on her teeny bike and say "hi".
Nothing special...
No problems
No issues....

just "hi"

I'll never be the same.

hugs to all,
Sabrina

Okay, I have to admit I am a morning person. I get up at 5:00 am every morning to go to work, around 7 or 8 on the weekends. I used to be the biggest Non-morning person around, to even breathe in my direction meant "off with your head". Now I'm fine after about 20 minutes provided I've had at least a few sips of coffee. I can respect people who aren't morning people and frankly, I like the quiet that early in the morn. Too much noise in the am makes me edgy.

There is nothing better to me than watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee in hand. Mornings are for peaceful contemplation, and as such are quite enjoyable. :)

I would love early mornings if they didn't arrive until about 10 am. :T

I love having a granddaughter come quietly to my bedside and say "good morning gramma", there's no better way to start my day. :p But generally what happens is the tv is turned to PBS and turned too loud and two little voices are arguing with each other while they trash the living room. :ahhhh: Peaceful contemplation will probably have to wait until they're grown up and out on their own. But a can of cola does help get the day started.

I'm up and out no later than five every morning for my 6 mile power walk. I'm pretty even keel from the moment I get out of bed until the moment I get back in. Than said, I don't talk to anyone unless I have to - regardless the time of day. I don't think these are morning people - just annoying people.

that is sooo precious!!!

I'm up around 5:00 each morning, not b/c I want to be, but b/c school's back in session, and I like to be mostly ready before I get the hobbits up. I have coffee each morning watching the sun rise over the pond, log on to MW and occasionally....do a workout video (it happens, but not as often as I'd like).

Needless to say, the only voice I ever hear is my own, so I try to be as cheerful as one can be. It helps if the coffee is the really, really strong stuff from Sumatra.

I have a pair of pj's that say " I hate morning people!" My kids actually look around the corner into my den and ask in a small voice " Have you had your coffee yet??" No one in my family (except my ADHD son ) is a morning person. I really don't hate them I just want them AWAY from me til I am awake.
