Community of us..our own BOS.. online

So i was reading the thread in arts and crafts about sending a BOS around and such.. .but it came out to like 100$$$... and i know not all of us have cash like that....sooo

I decided we could do something different... **sorry if this is in the wrong forum, wasn't sure what to put it in***


I could register a journal account, ie. livejournal, greatestjournal, xanga, etc, and give all of the participants the password. This could be our own, free version of having a BOS with everyones input.. i know it's not the same, but it's something! :woot: And anywho.. What we could do is have everyone add an entry, each entry containing a spell/recipe/poem or writing/information/tips&advice and have the person do several entries...

The entries should be self made and written, but do not have to be as long as credit is given to the author. :uhhuhuh: :spinner: And we can all add it to our own BOS's, along with the convience and niceness of having one online, filled out by all of our friends here at MW! :woot: it'd be nice to have this, and very convienent and fun at the same time.

Sooo.. any of you guys interested? If we get enough people that can participate, we can do this :D i think it's nice for all the people who can't afford to send books around or anything, but it's nice to have something for everyone. :) If you're interested, I'll be around and feel free to ask questions. :D

Nice idea, that way everyone can contribute and benefit.

I think it might be an idea to have someone in charge of compiling and editing, because I can imagine a lot of conflicting, confusing or repeated info getting in there.

Well worth giving it a go though. I think there might already be a site BoS which could probably form the basis of this. I can't think where i've seen it though.

also.. i would be happy to be in charge of it, making sure that entries are not re entered, and that there is nothing inappropriate

Would reccommend if you're going to make it an online journal... make it a community journal instead. That way no one has access to delete or otherwise screw around in bad ways with the posts of others.
