Well, I bought my crystal ball in one of those "new age stores" however I am sure that there are tons of places on the net where you can buy one, unfortunatly all my links are for swedish stores. Try searching the net though, I am sure you will find plenty of places in the states aswell.

They are good for scrying, obviously. You can cleanse them in the normal way or using mugwort especially (it's often associated with the dark, mysteries, and divination). You can set it up and sit before it with candles lit to meditate, then gaze upon it until images appear. This technique takes lots of practices and some people find it easier then others. Good luck!
