A friend of mine is about to have her first baby, and her friends want ritual to ask for a good birth- We could do this at her shower on Saturday- and a ritual to welcome the new child into the world, after.
In all my books, I only find one "Paganing" ritual, out of a book called "Magical Rites From The Crystal Well" It's very nice, and I can certainly base something on it. Anyone have any ideas? How about for the Birth?

there is a book ive got that has baby rituals in it, there is a baby naming ritual and something the mother can wear about her thigh as she gives birth to ease the process. i will look them both up and post them for you tomorrow :) tell your friend congrats! :)

Hm, Nuah, did you forget? :)

There is a spell for easy birth in Everyday Magic by Dorothy Morrison. There are also several types of Wiccanings you can find online and in books - try http://google.yahoo.com/bin/query?p=wiccaning&hc=0&hs=0 or take a look in your local bookstore or library.

The book "Sacred Fire" by Tiziana De Rovere has a full section on birth and birth rituals. The book is all on rituals for life. see if your local libary has it if not I can scan some of the pages and email them to you.
