No this is not a Bill Engvall thing :D

I have been on a conscious search for my patron(s), and I have been having trouble interpreting signs, dreams, and even having trouble deciding what is relevant to my search.
I have long been fascinated with the Shekina, the judeaic/christian feminine aspect of God. She has been written out of all texts, and is not worshipped really at all anymore. I have been reading a lot about her and trying to learn as much as possible.
About a month ago, a new thrift store opened about a mile from my home. This is somewhat odd, as I live pretty much in the middle of nowhere. I drive past the store everyday on my way home from work, but decided to stop in last Saturday afternoon. Guess what the name of the store is: The Shekina Community Outreach Thrift. And I see this as something that is waaaay too much of a coincidence to be ignored.

I think that it's more than a coincidence. I'm not familiar with Shekina. What more can you tell me about her? I'm just curious to learning more about her.

This article states that she was never in the Bible, but other things I have read state that she appears in versions written around 400 ad -- I can't remeber the name of that specific version at the moment, sorry :)

Web research has been fairly slow going for me, but the minute I first heard about her, something stirred in my tummy. I never thought that my patron would be of an abrahamic pantheon, even though I have no problem with mixing paganism and christianity. But I think a lot of the pull I feel from her is the fact that Christianity kicked her out, for lack of a better phrase.
