Contrary to my original preference, it turns out I may be staying at my current school. Let me explain how it's a good thing. I try to be friendly to every stranger I meet. One in particular was a guy at my old middle school (once I was out of it). While I helped Pappa_Rooster with getting ready for the next school year (he's a teacher, obviously) I struck up a conversation one day with what I figured was some random guy. This one conversation turned out to be many as I kept coming back to help Pappa_Rooster over the past two years or so. Making a long story short, turns out this guy was the assistant principal at my middle school and has now become the new assistant principal at my current school. After a long talk with him today, he promises that he'll stop at nothing for things to be fair for me. Making sure the 504 gets through, fixing past unfair grades, any future unfair grades, keeping the teachers from targeting me for dumb reasons, everything I had ever worried about. I am quite happy. :boing:
This thread was made for two reasons. One, I wanted to share the good news of my school problems (for those of you who had been following). Two, I wanted to prove being genuinely kind really can have its benefits. People don't seem to believe that these days, but it's true.
Don't laugh at me, Pappa_Rooster, I never knew who he was. I never matched the name with the face. I mean really, who would've known?
Just to balance things out, here's a story FestiveLeaf once told me. One of the kids in his old classes was a nasty little thing. One day while at a restaurant with his friends, they decided to get all rude and rowdy. A lady at a nearby table kindly asked them to keep it down. They said yes, but kept continuing to disturb the other people anyhow. When the lady went to leave, they threw food at her. The next day was the kid's license test. Guess who the instructor was. He failed.
See? You just never know. :nyah:
