The Celtic Cross

There are a few variations on this one.. Ive tried to find the one which I follow but still these positions are a little different from mine,.. :D

Cards 1 and 2 form a small central cross, cards 1 to 6 form a larger cross, cards 7 to 10 form the staff and complete the Celtic Cross spread.

Each position signifies:

1 what is at the 'heart of the matter'
2 secondary or reinforcing factor
3 root of the situation, the base or a deep meaning to position 1
4 what is overlooking the situation, goal or purpose
5 what has now passed, receding influence
6 the immediate future, approaching influence
7 how you present yourself to the world
8 how others see you, or what is within your environment
9 your hopes and fears
10 the outcome

The cards are read in conjunction with their neighbouring cards in the spread, this gives depth and clarification to the reading.

Ok babe heres your reading as promised yesterday! :)
I used the Queen of Pentacles as your sig

1) You at the moment ~ Four of Pentacles ~ This is a you card! and as I know you been doing a lot of thinking about you recently ;) It stands for control and wanting things for yourself ~ putting your self first! which I know you have been doing. Taking more time to concentrate on you, your life and protecting your self from the situations around you. Its also a very cautious acrd in my opion and that how youve ben going about things recently.

The chariot also fell out just before I picked you cards so this ties in here too. Riding everything with balance and care ~ knowing your own direction and wants and going for them.

2) Whats crossing this ~ Ten of Pentacles ~ Oo the dream of a perfect loving family and love. We know what this is talking about dont we ;) You want some control, completion and a confrimation. You want to know where this part of your life is heading and at the moment, although your bearing up very well.. you still have this in the back of your mind allot. This is in you heart and you cant stop feeling this way. This is your dream.

3) Your thoughts ~ Seven of Swords ~ Kind of a bit confused about everything, your putting on a brave face and going with everything very well but theres still things there praying on your mind in the back ground troubling you. & Its kind of making you feel like escaping, running away from everything, just washing your hands and making a clean clear start. You want control and cant seemt o find any. Also this is a sneaky card and speaks of some planning and sneaking around ;) S & J

4) The underlying problem ~ the King of Swords ~ This gent comes up allot .. along with the King of Cups.. you have to make a decision I feel from these cards.. all of them so far.. but you know this anyway... and your dealing with it all.
He also tands for planning and keeping your head clear and I feel you have been adopting the Queens attributes more..
But you want passion, love, creativity and happiness... something that the straight down the line, intellectual, cool, calm king cant provide at the moment.

5) The recent past ~ The Tower ~ Sorry to hear that things have been a strain for you. I dont know of this, but the cards are saying that somehting big and drastic has changed ~ there has been a breakdown and a big change. Maybe J moving out, maybe everything thats been happening.. but I think this speaks of an event more and of soemthing really upsetting you. Im sorry. At least its over and in the past now.

6) Coming up soon ~ the Queen of Cups ~ This is you I feel and whats goign to happen aswell. Your old self thats been under the surface and pushed back somewhat with the strom of the tower will come into play again. She stands for a loving, spiritual and imaginative outlook so soon everything will start to fall into place I feel and youll get your old happy, passionate smile back! This could alos mean that there will be some romance on the cards.. especially with the next cards..

7) Events leading on from 6) ~ Knight of Pentacles ~ I read this as S, being there for you again and providing stablily in your life. The acrd shows a young man riding a horse in a filed full of flowers and trees with a piece of grass in his hand. Its a really happy card and in this deck not like my other knights..
He has still got a very young outlook on allot things but he will be there for you and although he's a little bit frightened of his emotions and commiting just yet, he will start to be allot more open and straight I feel. He's still finding himself and still wants to make some changes with his life, maybe this is whats stopping him? But I get from this card that there will be some improvement and movement!!

8) How people see you at the moment ~ The Chariot! ~ lol this feel out before! and its what I addressed before.. Your friends around you see that youve made allot of progress and strong discisions. They also see you coping with everything very well and with direction and focus. Theres also been a change to your outlook on life and people see this too. They also see you as having directiona dn purpose aswell as control and strength!

9) Your hopes or fears ~ this is a fear ~ 8 of Cups ~ Loneliness and depression ~ dont we all! You fear moving on in some way ~ letting go is hard... especially where all our emotions are involved. this is a very emotional card and I feel soemtimes in your dark moments you retreat and think thats its all over.. but it isnt ~ you can always see the light now and know your stregths and weaknesses ~ you use your strengths very well to overcome these dark thoughts.

10) Outcome ~ Page of Cups ~ Again an emotional card following on from the Knight and the Queen ~ Spiritually comes strongly into my mind here, I think your going to find a new interest and really get stuck in there. Also on the love side of things ~ I think what i said before ~ there will be some improvement and this is going to be lift your ego and spirits allot. Its also going to make you all dreamy and touched again. Pages as you know stand for messages but I think this one will come in the form of a gift of love. He's also saying that you will feel your old self again ~ loving, warm, creative, intuative, emotional (yes! as if you didnt already) in a very positve way! :sunny:

Hello dear fellow ~ here goes ~ hold on for the ride :D

1) You at the moment ~ Six of Pentacles ~ Ok this is abit of a tough card, its all about give and take ~ receiving news, gifts love and giving it all too. This somehow is a key at the moment and I think its more on the financial, home, wealth front than the emotional. People want things from you, and although your more than willing and genorous to give them ~ genourous to a fault I feel.. you may not be getting much back in return ..or you may be feeling like that?

2) Crossing you at the moment ~ Four of Wands ~ You ambition and desire for people around you, working with people, being a leader, having poeple to play and laugh with, having a group of good friends around you. Having people is this card. You want more friends and loved ones around you at work and at play. You want to be excited, free and have power in your life again. You know you can get all this ~ just how?

3) Your thoughts ~ Ace of Pentacles ~ Again material, worldly, homely matters are on your mind. Not for change but for a whole new start. A fresh clean break and begining. You dont want loads just to be happy and secure. Confident and know what everything holds for you. These are all practical positive thoughts, and you want to plan and prepare for these at the moment. & Just also want to be sure they are on there way.

4) Beneath the waters ~ Four of Pentacles ~ This is what came up in the 6 of Pentacles ~ i think from this, you maybe give too much away, give too much to people. You are generous to a fault which is such a great attribute and strength of your, part of your winning formula but also this causes problems and hurt in your life. You give so much away and dont always get the love back. You want it back and you want someone there to give the love to.

5) Recent Past ~ Just behind you ~ Knight of Cups ~ This guy has two sides ~ so you have been allot more positive and happy of recent but also taknign sudden down turns too. He's very emotional, intutative and romantic ~ so these have all been positive happy things but also given some unhappy feelings too ~ if that makes sense? He stands for being sensitive ultimatly I think ~ sensitive to the world and everyone around you in a great giving way but also can be a little too senseitve for his own good.

6) Whats around the corner ~ The World ~ The final card and the end as such,... but also a beginning! ooo this is a good one! Change and completion!! ~ something is going to turn around or come out great. Something big! Soemthing quite important to you! I think its going to be how you look at the world and everything around you...as the next card...

7) After youve turned the corner ~ King of Swords ~ I think your going to take more charge of your life. Recently everything has been going well but you dont feel in control.. you want control from the Ace and Four.. you want to be sure of life and how everything is going to pan out. Maybe some soul searching and growing will be coming up ~ I would say so aswell as moving forward and growing with strength. The world will set things in motion for this, so Im sure the two are connected... tell me what happens please :)

8) How people see you now ~ Five of Cups ~ I think this is saying that people see that you have been hurt in the past and that soemthing quite terrible has happened ~ but you have overcome this and moved on. They see you as quite emoitonal and ruled by love, also a great dependable friend who wont run away when times are tough.

9) Your hopes or fears ~ Two of Pentacles ~ Balance! Simply as that...You just want everything home, love and work to be balanced and happy. You dont ask for much just contentment and happiness. You want fun! and fear not having this in your life.

10) The outcome ~ Following on from the king and the world ~ Eight of Cups ~ I think after the events of the world and after youve had a good think and taken control you will be able to move on from soemthing. Something that has hurt you deeply in the past. You wil search more into yourself and find the answers. This may be a bit of a backwards step again but I feel you will feel it neccassary and comforting to go through. Once you have you will be able to move on and succeed with your journey.

I do the Celtic Cross A bit different too.

1 and 2 small cross my 3 is above 4 below 5 to the left six to the right and then 7 8 9 and 10 from bottom to top. I learned it from the Rider Waite deck I bought is there a right way for the layout or does it change person to person?

One more question. What is the card face down under the one? I was taught to put that down but I have know idea what it even mean or why it's there.
