Dream I had last night: Lilith vs. Hekate

I had a rather stranger dream last night. I'm not sure what to make of it. A little background info first...For the past 3-4 weeks, every night before going sleep, I ask Hekate one thing "Hekate, if you would have me as a faithful follower, please give me a sign in my dreams." For the first 3-4 nights, there was nothing. After that, I started having a variety of dreams...dogs, frogs, wolves, fire..walking thru a forest only to come up the edge of a volcano, etc. Well last night was a different dream all together. I've had time now to look over my dream and here's what I remember: I was in a cave or big room. It was dark and the only light was from the opening. In the center of the room, I was setting up an altar. Apparently there was a light above the altar, because it was bathed in light from above. I was putting candles, incense, skeleton keys, stones, etc. I was standing in front of it, working on where I was placing things. I saw a shadow move across the room and saw a woman had walked in. She had long dark colored hair and was pale in color. She was wear a long, flowing white gown or dress. At first, I felt scared of her, then as she got closer, I wasn't scared anymore. When she finally got up to me, she patted me on the head and let her hand slide down to my shoulder. She looked into my eyes--her eyes were really dark, almost black-and spoke these words..."I am Lilith. Hekate will be a bit longer in coming to you. Until then, I accpet you as a faithful follower." I woke up right after this, really confused! I know nothing about Lilith! She's accepted me, but I am unsure of what I should do from here out. Meaning, ritual, altar, etc.
I would appreciate any input on this dream. Or any help!

I don't know how to help you....but your description of Lilith sounds almost exactly like Hel appeared to me in a dream...but then again she never told me she was Hel, I just had an intuitive feeling that she was and have believed her to be ever since....maybe I got it wrong and I really saw Lilith....:ahhhh: :bug:

I don't work with Lilith myself, so I can't give you any details in regards to rituals ...etc. But my advice is to spend time getting to know her on your own.

Wow, DixieWitch! That is such a clear message from both Goddesses. Very nifty. And makes sense in many ways. There's a book Called The Book of Lilith that might interest you. It has tons of information about her. Good luck!

The thing is is that I know nothing about Lilith, so it's kinda hard for me to follow along. I will definitly so some reading in the next few days. I've got my altar set up for Hekate, but I will do what I can to add soemthing for Lilith also.

Wow, that's a very awesome response you got, I wish the gods were that clear with me!

Well Lilith has appeared to quite differently to me on occassion, but she's different things to different people.

I find it amazing that she's working with Hekate, that's just wonderful news to me, and I think I understand the reason why.

It's very satisfying to get a message from a deity that's so clear and pointed. Confusing though it may be, it might just be best to accept it. Since they are working together you might not have to change your worship much at all.
