I absolutely HAVE to make a trip to TX at the end of the month. Mom and son rather bad off health wise. I have 4 dogs that go everywhere I do, other than work of course, and only then because they wont let them!! Poodles with a combined weight of aprox 12 pounds. OK, I also have no excess funds, living as I do from paycheck to paycheck..and the only pet friendly motel I can find is $380 +/- for a 5 day stay. I need to know where the upper lower class stays..like carnival workers and travenling gypsies. On line searchs keep turning up like the Raddison..NOT! Any help appreciated! I need to be in the Lancaster, DeSoto, Wilmer Hutchins, Red Oak, Duncanville, Balch Springs areas to be close to both people...and Panchos!! I see a major pig out in my future. Thanks! BB!

I don't know what you are actually asking... but I live in the Area (actually south of Dallas).
I have three dogs though, one is full blood pit. She sweet, but with other dogs besides ours he tends to play too rough. Hte only other dogs she gets to play with is her natural brothers and sisters in w. texas. If you where looking for someone to watch the dogs that is or a place to stay.
I'll scout around for you if you need something specific. OH BTW A major bridge got washed out in Ovilla. If you haven't heard, most of Northern Ellis and Southern Dallas got flooded bad a few days ago.

THANK YOU!!! I know about the floods. I have not been able to get hold of my mom in Lancaster for 2 days. My sister in Corsicana got thru and mom said her house was ok. She is 84 adn has major health problems and lives alone. This is one reason I am having to go out there. She is not doing well at all and some decisions need to be made. My son in Irving is also quite ill with a long undiagnosed health problem, and is in pretty serious shape. His wife let her work permit expire and he is not able to work, so they are in a bad situation as well.
OK I need a cheap place to stay. I wont leave the dogs as there is no one here in SC who can watch them for me and I really want them with me. If I could find a place for $250-$300 total with all the extra fees etc, I could swing that and still eat and put gas in the car but they have to ok having the dogs in the room, cuz if i get caught sneaking them in, then I can get thrown out. I will be arriving on 9/2 and leaving 9/9. If I am on the down side of Lancaster, towards Waco, this is fine because I can go up 342 to moms or 30 to irving. I know there have to be some low end motels around..heck 175 used to be peppered with them. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!!! Scan the yellow pages for me and I'll make Sprint happy with long distance calls! Again, thanks so much! BB!

A State Park might be an answer. I know Dinosaur Valley isn't all that far south. It's $12 a day for camping. If you can borrow a tent and some gear you'll stay well within your budget.

Thanks Terry I thought about that too, and looked at Joe Pool Lake in the DeDoto area, but the SO has COPD, emphysema, chronic bronchitis AND arthritis, so that idea quickly went down the tubes! No one (son sisters, mom) has any extra room and are cat people, so dont want the bother of the dogs for a few days. My dogs used to have a cat, yep, it was theirs, they played with it, slept with it..heck they even brought it home as a damp bedragled kittten..so it is not like they were vicious monsters who would eat the furry lil darlins! Now yall get a tiny picture of why I am in SC and have been since '85! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am to the point of sleeping in rest stops and using truck stop showers!!
