I just have let everyone know. You see, I am a pool/spa technician in mundane life. I take care of 6 pools with a total of 240,000 gals.
Yesterday I was inspected by the county health department. Every pool passed with 100%, no points deducted at all! :D
So, for my forth year running, I still keep my "pool god" status.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!
:o :o :o :o :o ;) :D :D :D :D :D   :D :D :D :D :D :D
Peace Ya'll

Congats. What was the TDS readings on the pools? Just curious. Are these DE filtered pools? Sand? Other? I used to have a terrible time with PH balance, didn't pass anything, except a little gas  every now and again.
Good Jod, Twig.

:eek!! Another one who KNOWS
Heheheheheh. All my pools are sand filtered. The largest is 92,000 gallons!
I try to keep my pools within these parameters
pH 7.3-7.5
Alk. 120-135 ppm
Cal 200 ppm
TDS (as read by CYA test) 40-70 ppm
If you keep the alkalinity in the 120-135 range, it will help buffer the pH and keep it from bouncing so much. Also, always adjust chemicals in this order...Alk., Cal., pH ;)
Peace and Sunbathing!

Do they fill these things with mountain spring water? Out of the tap in So. Cal., the best I have seen is 250 ppm. That's awesome.
Sorry about the sand filters though, I found those the toughest to maintain - yes, even tougher then DE.

We are blessed with some of the Softest water, thanks to the abundance of rain and the Bull Run resivour(sp).
Imagine tap water with a pH of 7.4,
alk. 40
Cal 120
Ahhhhh Oregon! :heartthro :heartthro :heartthro :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :) :)
