New to this great site...

Just found this site yesterday - what a great place you have set up. Thought I'd do a quick intro before I go back to lurker land for a bit - I've got alot to read to catch up-wow you've got lots of forums! :)

Mundane - I'm a programmer in Southern Oregon, living in the country with my husband, aussie, cats, chickens, and the occasional bear that wanders through. Also living next door to the big Quartz fire - 2 miles away. Now that's power...

Not-so-mundane - I'm mostly a reader, and have been studying pagan and wiccan paths for about a year. Just trying to get my thoughts together; couldn't label myself if I tried. Started out with the usual Wiccan 101 books, and am now trying to find others in more depth.

So just wanted to say hi to y'all

...and, not to sound too stupid. But, what's a quartz fire?

Flar - Quartz Gulch is where the forest fire started - I guess I call it "the" fire cuz for a few days it was classified as the #1 fire in the US, mostly cuz of the homes threatened. 1200 firefighters, 4 tanker planes, many helicopters... just for interests sake, here's some pics from our deck - http://www.saragossa.net/qg_fire.html

Twig - gotta love Oregon! And the north is so completely different from the south.

You are all probably wondering what the heck a thread from 2001 is doing back up at the top - wow I've been gone for so long, three years! I feel like a totally different person. I've lost my roots that I was starting to find here so long ago and need to find my way back. I remember good times and good feelings, even though I'm sure no one here remembers me at all, I didn't post much, but learned so much from you all.

The reason I got so sidetracked in my life is I started my own business - first candles, then soaps and more bath and body. I started because I wanted to make my own god/goddess pillars for my altar, and guess what, I'm just starting to do that this year lol.. Now *that's* sidetracked!

Anyway, I've got a lot of catching up to do :) So much has changed here as well - you've grown so much! Wonderful!
