Do any of you have recurring dreams that are really irritating?

Mine is usually during the winter months when i have to get up in the dark.
I wake up really tired, crawl reluctantly out of bed, race my kids for the bathroom, get ready for work, struggle through the traffic / snow / fog / torrential downpours or whatever, then....
I REALLY wake up and find that I've got to do it all again!

A few times I've even dreamt the whole thing twice in succession, (dreamt that i've 'woken up' from the dream) so end up doing the whole routine 3 times!

And I hate mornings at the best of times!

YEAH!! I have that same dream! I hate that! It's so real, it feels like you're really there. I find I only get them when I'm really, really tired & not looking forward to doing something...like going to work.

I'm always really, really tired in the morning, I'm just not a morning person!
I love my job, so it's not that, and what makes it even better is that i work flexi-time, so it doesn't matter that i get in late every day - i just work later :D

Teardrop, no i haven't read the books, but i do it all the time! It's the only way i get to see my sister and my best friend who both live a long way away.

I know what you mean. I do love my job too but some days I just don't feel like being here...want to be outside playing. :D

I haven't read much on astral travel but I do that too. I find that I'm so tired in the morning after. It always feels like someone rubbed a pound of sand in my eyes. My friend does that quite often so most of what I do know comes from her.

And the other extremely irritating one is where i'm 'busy' with a gorgeous hunk of a man, and i ALWAYS wake up at the most inopportune moment
Just a shame i don't have to repeat that one again when i really wake up!

I dreamt the other night I was at work all stressed over a deal we have been working on and then I woke up mad because I can't even seem to escape it in my sleep!!

I have the ability to wake up and go back to sleep and pick up right where the dream left off. So if my alarm goes off during a good dream I just snooze it until I'm ready to let it go!

Once...I had a dream that I was making out with Ricky Martin. THAT was a REALLY annoying dream. I have no idea where it came from..since i can't stand pop music..and have no attraction to him, that I know of.

I had a recurring dream a few years back, I'd have it a few times a year just around halloween and that was it. I had it for about 8 years! I was only about 10 or so! I don't know why it stopped or why it started.

Two wierd dream experiences....

Once, I dreampt that my hubby and I were arguing..and he told me that he didn't want children. In my dream..I felt really betrayed...and very angry. Meanwhile, in real life..my hubby awoke feeling very amourous...he started snuggling up to me, and kissing me, and i PUSHED him away...Saying..."Don't..I'm really pissed off at you!". He, stunned, asked me why. And I said..."YOU PROMISED ME WE'D HAVE CHILDREN"!. He was quite bewildered, not knowing that I was dreaming..and stormed out of the room, got ready..and left for work. Later, when I got out of bed..I realized what had happened, and called him at work...i felt awful..and explained that I was dreaming..I thought he'd never stop laughing! LOL

My other wierd dream experience, is a reversal of this. Years ago, while I was living with someone else, we were in bed, sound asleep..I woke up suddenly when he shouted.."WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?????"..and grabbed my hand hard. Apparently..he'd been dreaming that I was sleeping with another guy.and he walked in on me. LOL...amazing how real dreams can seem sometimes, eh?

lol. . .

I once had a reaccuring nightmare, I'd have it for like 6 weeks at a time, every night, every couple months or when something stressfull happened (school, trips, moving, fights, you name it anything confrontational). I've been having it my whole life (even when I was like a baby, I think I can remember waking up from it then), and I havn't had since I was aobut 12 or 13 *KNOCK ON WOOD* **literally knocks on her dad's wooden computer desk*. . . basically there's this silly part. . charlie-brown style characters, in rows one on top of another picking flowers, giving me just a second of terror and aprehension of what's about to come, then suddenly there's this. . .

. . . this nothingness. Complete and utter nothingness. . . you can't breathe, you can't scream, you can't move, you don't EXIST. . . you just have enough consiousness to feel this incredible terror. . . such terror that it's like physical pain but WAAAAAAY more. . . it's terror in a way I can't describe, there aren't words for that kind of feeling. . . calling it that is like saying that a 3rd degree burn feels like a drop of luke-warm water on your skin. . . I dono how to describe it. But I would have that feeling, just the nothingness except terror. . . and then I"d wake up. And I'd just lay there breathing, too terrified and in too much shock to move. . sometimes I'd stop breathing because I was so terrified. . . And after about 5 minutes I'd get up the courage to cry.

It took me until now, finding out some nasty stuff about past lives, to realize where that dream came from. I havn't had it in years. . . partof me is curious, and wants to have it again to be able to analyze it or see if there's anyone to talk to or to see if I can last out the terror part of the dream to the end of the experience I know is in that memory. . . and part of me NEVER, EVER wants to have that dream again.

I'm still curious, though 8O

other than that, the only reacurring dreams I"ve had lately are similar dreams that involve a group of my friends, my mom dad and brother, my boyfriend, myself, and this girl who's like my best friend but that I don't know in real life (except in the dream I SO know her. . . its like I've known her for eternity).

eep, I ramble on so! ^^; gomen ne everyone

When I was younger I used to have recurring nightmares. I just learned to wake myself up or change my dream if I recognized that my dream was the bad one. The hardest are when I dream that my fiance dumped me and won't talk to me, when my parents hate me, or when my brother and I get in a fight in my dream. The worst was when I dreamt I was in a car with my (now ex) boyfriend and he was driving over a bridge and careened right off into the water. I hit the water and realized I was dead, and at that exact moment woke up - sat straight up with this big gasp and thought "ohmigod, I'm dead" and then realized it was just a dream. I imagine I was astrally travelling at the time, just because of the physical "whoosh!" I got when I woke up. Strange.
