WOW, that was great!! Been sitting on my porch watching 3 different storms (I'm on a hill) with my daft cats - they love them too!
Storms moving away now, so hopefully i can get to sleep listening to them in the distance. 'Night all

AHHH! I'm afraid of thunder!!! Don't send any this way!!! While I was at the lake today, it started thundering, so I kept dunking myself so I didn't have to hear it. I swear I'm a 3 year old trapped in a 21 year olds body!

oooh I love thunderstorms! :D

But they're very rare where I live (about 60 miles north of San Francisco). When I hear them it's a real treat! Once it was freaky, I was riding home in the car with my mom and there was this lighning bolt right in front of us, tiny, and i dono what it connected with, but it freaked the heck outta me, the flash is imprinted in my memory.

The biggest one I have ever been in struck one night at like 3 or 4am. . . it woke me up out of a sound sleep. . . there was pressure like you couldn't breath and the lightning was so bright it lit up my eyes even though they were closed and under TWO blankets, and the thunder was so loud my windows were shaking and I SWEAR my room felt like the death star was exploding in the back yard. . . scared the CRAP outta me when it happened but looking back on it, MAN that was cool! :D 8O

I can remember being little and straining my eyes out the window to see lightning and count till the thunder to see how far away it was. . . the way my mom taught us was the wrong way, but it was still fun!! hehe. . . being little and trying to peer through mom's spider plants and stuffs. . . mmm and I remember how the bread baking would smell, and the cold-window smell of rain. . . ahh, I miss being a little kid dearly.

Someday I'll have my own kids and have an excuse to be a child again! :D

Have you read the thread called 'When we were young'?

That'll bring you lots more memories (depending on your age of course - some of it may be history to you 8O )

I'll bump it up for you.

YES....YES....YES!!!

It's raining here in Vancouver:) and I'm very tempted to
celebrate by running down the street skyclad.:bigredgri

Wouldn't that be a sore for sight eyes? 8O

It's very overcast here today. I love the thunder and lighting storms. I have never been afraid of them. Like a child, I love to dance in the rain.

Now, when I lived in St Thomas, I went through a hurricane and that was scarey to me.

Three days of steady rain in Vancouver, and I'm diving off my
fourth floor balcony. ;) :D

Should I build an ark of balsa wood? :p

Thunderstorms are great when you want to sleep. It takes your mind of some things one would other think him or herself silly about.
