Enery for Harley, if you can- surgery is today

Harley (my dog/child) was diagnosed two years ago with fibrosarcoma- yup cancer. It is usually a localized cancer, with a high rate of reoccurance. She has another tumor close to where the last one was removed. She also has a small lump in her lip and another behind her ear.

Her surgery is scheduled for today. Last time she had a really rough time coming out of the anesthesia. She is 9 1/2.

If you have a spare moment, can you send her a bit of energy that she comes through the surgery ok, and the anesthsia isn't so bad for her this time?

Whew! She did great!
They used a different kind of anesthesia with her- one that leaves the system quickly. So even though she is not herself, she isn't groggy and sick like last time. The other good thing is that the lump on her leg was on her thigh. Last time it was right over the knee joint. So movement-wise, she is much more comfortable- she even was able to get up and down the stairs last night without too much trouble.

What a beautiful girl. I'm glad she came out OK, and I hope she stays healthy for a long time.
