My adorable husband stopped on the way home from work and got me a late birthday present, The Witches tarot. It has the book, the deck, and an awesome spread sheet that has a big white pentagram on a black background on one side and a four seasons spread on the other side. I can't wait to learn all about this deck. Glancing through it I love the majors...especially Strength...they are so beautiful. The minors look a lot different than the minors of the waite deck, which I learned to read with. So it may take a while before I can read with them with any success, or without thumbing through the book constantly.
Just wanted to share!! Does anyone else have this deck??

What a wonderful surprise Semele. I have my eye on that deck and Robin Wood's, whenever I am ready for my next deck. When the time comes I will have to look at them both and then choose. Or not. Maybe I will have to buy both! :p
That was really sweet of Mol. You have a keeper!

I have that deck! I just purchased the deck, not the book. :( Sometimes I wish I had bought them both! You are right, the minors are .....different to say the least. Sometimes I have trouble identifying which suit the card represents......like the 2 of cups. ;) ...and that is why I don't read with them very often. :D
Congrats! It is a beautiful deck! :D

I have that one! :D It was actually the first deck I ever bought/owned, and probably the one I've used least-- the booklet doesn't even have a crinkle in it. Seriously, I think I glanced at them and stocked them in a drawer. 8O They are reeeeeeeeally great pieces of art though; congratulations! I wish you many insights and luck with this one! :D:D:D

Good luck with your new deck, it's just great when you just got a new deck isn't it? :)

Oooh! This is a lovely tarot deck! I don't own it myself, but a friend brought hers to a discussion group a few weeks ago and showed me. It was BEAUTIFUL! The guy who hosts the discussion group says he can't keep these decks in the store they sell like hotcakes :) Strength is my friend's card she says. She can go through the deck and immediately pull that card out. It's cool!

Thing is.. If you can pull out the cards you want ~ wont that affect your readings ;)

It looks alot better than the Robin Wood. I am thinking of buying it, and the Sacred Circle deck.

I wouldn't think it would, because you are TRYING for that. When you do a reading you should be trying to clear your mind to allow the answers to come through as unbiased as possible, so thinking of those cards would only bias it. Or something like that :)

If I had all the tarot decks I wanted .........
that one looks very interesting , it will be fun leanring to work with it I can see :>.
have you ever kept a record of you readings and tracked what happens? Like a tarot or any divination tool reading diary ? I did that years ago with the I Ching and some Tarot.... mostly I Ching because it was faster ... i et runes would work for that too ......

Yeah Swan! I try (my best!) to keep track of all my readings that I do for myself and write them down in a little book. Its so interesting when you see the cards go round in a circle before you.. Cards that were for your recent future turn into your past!and even more when you have the proof of a little book. :D

I just recently purchased two little notebokks. One I am filling with spreads I like and the other I plan to keep track of the readings I do. I found a birthday spread and did one for Dravin. That is my first entry into my reading notebook.

I have recently started a notebook for readings too. Each morning I do a Four Directional Spread (see Divination forum) and record the results and message for the day. Then I pull a scarab and factor it's message in too. It's been amazing seeing the cards all crop up over and over as I work through things, and then they go away when I've moved past that lesson. OR, if I regress to previous thought patterns that are bad, they COME BACK!!! haha I laugh, but it can be a little frustrating, sort of like "But why?! I've dealt with THAT!"
It's fun. :)

I have a ratty little red spiral one-subject notebook that I record spreads in, and readings that seem significant, although I really shouldn't discriminate.. hmm...
