How exactly did you stumble onto MW?

Mine is a basically dull tale, I was on Yahoo! and I searched for altar pics, or just altars or something of that sort it directed me to altar pics thread, and I couldn't believe I had found such a large community of wonderful people with the same beliefs as myself! :lookwhats So I've been here ever since! So what about you?

I'd seen MW mentioned on several other boards, usually in the obligatory "what other boards do you visit?" thread.
First few times I popped in, it was way overwhelming- so many different forums! :lol:
But then I found myself less and less at these other boards, and decided to see if I couldn't fit in here...

I'm a member of Baby Love forum and MysticWicks is linked on there.. so, I stepped by, and I'm very glad I did, some wonderful people here and very welcoming too! not all forum communities make you feel that way when you first join. I love coming here :)

The week before i found mw, i was a solitary witch who didn't have any access to anyone pagan related and my searches online didn't help much in finding any. none of my friends
were interested or practiced anything related to the occult, so i didn't have any friends to talk to about it either. so one night, i made up a wish spell (my very first and only one since) and used it that night. a week later out of the blue i decided to try a search for pagan penpals. which is when i stumbled apon a thread here and thus, became acquainted with my first pagan forum.
can you guess what i had wished for? Magic. i wrote a wish spell for magic to come into my life, but what i had meant was a friend or possibly two. little did i know i would encounter a whole forum-like community of like-minded people! i swear, someone up there is having a good laugh on my behalf. :lol: since then I've been more specific in what i say when I'm casting (and word everything verrry carefully ;))

Mine was simple Mol invited me. :) At the time MW was a tiny community of close knit individuals that just as they do now welcomed everyone. We haven't changed much here except we are no longer a tiny community :)

I was given the address in a PM by someone on a another site i don't visit anymore.
I was quite depressed at the time, and i posted a message saying why and stuff, but none of the members were very sympathetic. Most told me i didn't have the right to be depressed, what with all the war and starving children in the world.
She had lots 3 family members to suicide, and she told me about here, and i am glad, because the people on MW are nicer then most of the people i have been friends with in my life. I can't imagine life without MW now actually

No pile ons as I had seen on othere boards!

My first impression was Shock at the size!!
My second impression was disbelief at finding a community where it seems all most all paths are sincerely welcome.
My third impression was a feeling of “sincere” community togetherness.
