:hugz: oh sweety! I wish I could help...I had morning sickness so bad with my last one that I lost 15 lbs! A few things that were suggested (but didn't help me much) :
1. when you wake up in the morning...before you actually get up, eat a couple dry crackers or plain toast. It is supposed to settle your stomach.
2. Avoid strong smells...all of them!
3. Eat plain bland foods
Hopefully something will help you!

well, I've never been pregnant myself, but I've heard that munching saltines helps a lot. Ginger can help settle an upset stomach, but I'm not sure how safe it is for pregnant women.

leave some crackers or potato chips on the nightstand and when you initially wake up, munch a couple two three
do it before you get up to pee, before you roll over, just as soon as you open your eyes
for some reason it settles the stomach a little

I know the feeling all too well!
I had sickness so bad in my first pregnancy, that i ended up so weak i couldn't get out of bed, i ended up in hospital with dehydration and had to stay in hosp over christmas time :( Then,in my second pregnancy it wasnt much better, although this time i went to the doctors before it got that worse again!
Both times because it was so bad i was given anti-sickness tablets, which were a life saver!!!!!
You can try the usual things, ginger biscuits, dry toast... mine was that bad though that anything like that didn't make a difference, if it gets too much DON'T LEAVE IT! Tell your doctor/midwife!

i remember with my first pregnancy i could smell hot ketchup (like on french fries) from millions of miles away and that smell was like manna lol
you could also try the nausea point on your wrist with a marble or massage

With my first pregnancy I had motion sickness really bad and would be hit with morning sickness if I waited too long to eat. It took me some time to figure out that riding in cars was the reason why I was getting sick at that specific time. But, I found that if I ate before I got into a car I was ok. And I had to make sure that I did not wait for my husband to get home from work to eat dinner with him. It was just too long to go without food for me.
With my second daughter, I didn't have bad morning sickness. A little in the beginning, but I used the same tricks with her that I used with her sister, and I think that is why it wasn't so bad.
Now, with my son..that is a totally different story. lol I had morning sickness really bad, all through the pregnancy. I was suggested to try ginger, but the thought of it made me cringe. (I don't like the taste as it is, so wasn't keen on the idea of trying it when I felt like I was dieing. lol). I did however suck on peppermint candies a lot during the first trimester. That was the only thing I found that would make my stomach settle down. I also found that I could not handle my prenatals. There was too much iron in them for my body to handle this last go around. It was strange because I had no problems with them during the other two pregnancy.
But, you may want to bring up the possiblity to your doctor and see if they can give you the prenatals that are for mothers with severe morning sickness. If they are the problem and that dosage still doesn't help you, your doctor may have you take children's vitamins and a prescription of folic acid. That is what my doctor suggested for me.
The suggestions of crackers first thing when you wake up is a good one. Keep healthy snacks on hand and try some peppermint candies. And ginger is perfectly safe while pregnant, so if that works for you, don't worry that you will harm yourself or the baby. There are also morning-sickness suckers, I can't remember the names of them off hand, that are suppose to work too. They come in different flavors, and I know ginger is one of them, and aren't expensive. I found them on line.
Good luck and Congrats on the coming baby! :)

To prevent:
Avoid low bloodsugar as this brings on nausea; eat small, frequent meals, rich in protein.
Walk a mile a day, to prevent the build up of nausea causing hormones in the body.
Increase your iron and vit.B-complex intake (esp. B1 and B6). 10- 20 mg a day.
Eat unsalted crackers or dry toast, before getting out of bed.
Get out of bed SLOWLY, avoiding sudden movements or sitting up fast.
Avoid greasy and spicy foods.
Drink a cup of Anise and/or Fennel seed tea when you wake up and before getting out of bed.
Add one teaspoon of apple cider to 8 ounzes of warm water and drink, first thing in the morning.
To combat nausea (in order of increasing strength- start of with the mild ones, before moving on to the stronger ones!)
Fresh air- open the window or go outside. It can do wonders. Think of something other than the nausea, as thinking of it makes it worse. watch TV, read or talk.
Rasberry leaf tea- sip 1- 3 cups throughout the day.
Tea made from dried peach leaves.
Sip Peppermint or Spearmint tea throughout the day.
Ginger root tea.
Wild Yam Root tea, sip throughout the day.
Ginger root capsules (up to 25 capsules a day, for severe nasea and vomitting).

Peppermint tea and ginger beer (not necessarily at the same time!) are what got me through my morning sickness. And fresh air and crackery substances.
Good luck, and remember, it will go away eventually, so hang in there!

Lots of good stuff here...
I also carried fresh ginger root slices and crackers for emergancies in a zip lock baggies...sometimes just the smell of the fresh ginger would help.
MheraPia...that's my two cents worth but I think Horsecrows advice was as good as you can get

ask your doctor, but in my last pregancy one of the things I read dealt with morning sickness, not just nausea, but morning vomiting. In some women it is caused by to much of a particular hormone (I forget which one) but there isn't much you can do about it except get though it. Sometimes nausea and then vomiting occurs from being dehydrated. Dehydration causes nausea which casuse you to vomit and be more dehydrated. If you try and drink it doesn't stay down and it can be a vicious cycle that is very hard to break. I think that is where the recommendation to always have water at your bedside and crackers. Before you even move in the morning sip some water and nibble some crackers. As stated, wait a little before actually getting up and then get up very carfully.
Other things to consider, balance disturbance due to any number of bodily changes can cause this symptom. I used sea bands for seasickness. Some days they worked well, some days there was some help and some days nothing helped. I'm met a lot of women swear by them. They are cheap enough to try and they will either help or not. But do't give up.
Good luck. This too will pass.

Note: saltines will work for a while but with me eventially the smell of a saltine made me get sick faster. Because your body starts associating them with throwing up.
This time, drinking apple cinnamon liptons tea bags worked creat to calm my tummy.

I've not been pregnant, but I went online and foound these. They might help :)
Eat small meals throughout the day so that you're never too full or too hungry.
Avoid rich, fatty foods.
Avoid foods with smells that bother you.
Eat more carbohydrates (plain baked potato, white rice, dry toast).
Eat saltine crackers and other bland foods when you feel nauseous.
Try gelatin desserts (Jell-O), flavored frozen desserts (popsicles), chicken broths, ginger ale (nondiet), sugared decaffeinated or herbal teas, and pretzels.
The iron in prenatal vitamins can bother some women. If you think your morning sickness is related to your vitamins, talk with your doctor and he or she may change your vitamins.
Wearing "acupressure" wrist bands, which are sometimes used by passengers on boats to prevent sea sickness, may help some women who have morning sickness. You can buy the bands at boating stores or travel agencies.

I have three children, so I have ALOT of experience in the morning sickness department! It always seemed to me that if my stomach was empty, I was more prone to nausea -- so eat alot of healthy snacks throughout the day. I always had "morning sickness" in the evening, so I started having a sandwich with a can of Ensure (the generic version--it's cheaper!) in between lunch & dinner. Also, Ginger Ale helps!!!! And saltines!!! Lots of saltines!!!

Lemon Drops! and Water with a slice of lemon. That is if you can handle the smell of lemon. I tried everything from emetrol to home remedys. Then someone told me to try lemon wedges, but seeing as how I had to work and couldn't talk to people with a lemon wedge in my mouth so I tried lemon drops.
Also keep water handy and drink lots of it to stay hydrated. It will help cut down on some of the nausea.
