You people all seem really nice... i don't know where else to go...
My mother recently broke her leg. She broke bones and shattered the ankle. They put plates in. Anyways, at her doctors appointment on tuesday, they discovered a pretty nasty infection. She is going into surgery in about n hour. If its worse than they expected, I fear they might have to amputate the leg.
Anyways, I'm extremely worried about her. She must be going through an amazing amount of fear and worry. I am upset by this as well, and i just need someone to talk to.

Aww, hon. I'm so sorry for you and your mom (and the rest of your family)! **hugs** Doctors can do a lot to help with infection. Don't write off her leg yet.

I'm so sorry sweetie. I just went thru this with my husband a year ago. Did they say they suspected cellulitis? It's true that it can be a nasty little infection....and for a moment, we were afraid that my husband would lose his leg as well....but the doctors knew their business and fixed him up. It was a very slow and painful healing process, but he's just fine now. Light and healing energy sent your way for your mom, and love and support for you as well.

they didn't know what it was. They took cultures and were doing tests, but thats about all i know..
