And, as usual, I'm sick after coming back from camp. I won't bother to go through the day-to-day things, because I don't feel like it. :P

I got to sleep in the old infirmary, which is a health-hazard on its own. Not to mention, the building isn't exactly up to standard. I had to watch for falling ceiling tiles in the night. O_o; Ehm. Yeah. The whole place is, in fact, a health hazard. There's mold everywhere. I hate it.

Originally, I had to go to be a drama helper, but that all got changed around. By the time I was done the first day, I was also a gopher for Joell, the leader of the camp, plus the morning dishwasher, plus the "snoop" (which is the person who goes through all the kids' rooms and see which is the cleanest. They get a trophy if they have cleanest room.) I didn't really mind the jobs, less the dishwasher, because I'm pretty much dead in the mornings anyway.

Uhm. I forget which day I came home, so I can't tell you which day it was. Crystal and I went to Terrace to get the hell away from the kids for a few minutes before lunch. I was speeding back (can you tell where this is going?) so I wouldn't miss lunch. And, yes. I got myself a speeding ticket. I was going 24kms over the limit (woohoo! 104 in an 80 zone!) :P Not to mention, I didn't have my seatbelt on (it wouldn't work properly, so I gave up.)

But that's not all

No, the road I was on was very narrow, and there was next to no shoulder, so when I pulled over, I was still going a bit too fast (I can't tell you how fast I was going) and managed to land in a ditch. The van is ok. I have a $305 fine. And I won't be driving for a while.

*clears her throat*

Mind you, I was NOT happy about that incident. I ended up bawling by the time I got back to camp and could barely stop myself from crying all through lunch. I avoided going to the beach, and just slept the afternoon away. This is one that I will not be bragging about.

The day after that happened, my cold seemed to have magnified. I was coughing up lung crap most of the day, and had a real hard time sleeping at night. For the remaining nights, I went to bed as soon as I possibly could (the last day, I was in bed at 8:30! Even before the kids. Great, eh?)

The last full day of camp, they have this activity station thing. I got put at the station where the kids would make themselves a sailboat out of half a cork and a toothpick (with a small paper sail). They, then, would race their boats across a childs' wading pond. Bad idea. A lot of these kids are spoiled brats and don't know what the hell "NO" means. These two girls, especially: Jillian and Allison. No matter where they were, they never listened to who was talking, nor their councellors. We actually had to physically remove them from the pond once or twice, since talking to them wouldn't work.

I'll not go on about that, because it would be one giant whine.

Just one other thing, though. >_> Being in such a high stress place has never made me want a cigarette so bad before. I didn't take mine with me (have been smoke free for a few months now. Go me!) but one of the cooks there, Ron, was a smoker...and he slept very close to where I did and every time he needed a smoke, he would go right outside my room (I was on the boundary line of the camp for the kids.) Bah.
