I'm hoping someone can help me with this. One of the rituals I was reading talked about "the moon in Taurus". When is this? How can I find out? Is there a site that lists the different sun and moon "phases". I've tried to find one, unsuccessfully. Thanks in advance, for any help.

Dear Mystic......
The moon moves through each sign every two to two and a half days. So given there are 12 signs.. and approximately 28 days in a lunar cycle, the moon wil be in each sign about once each month .Right NOW the moon is in between signs in "void of course " but it was in Cancer until 9:03 AM EDT this morning and will go into LEO at 5:25 AM tomorrow morning . There are numerous websites and almanacs on the net to track the path of the moon, BUT I highly recommend actually giong out under it and observing for a month at least; with chart in hand to observe the sky ......if you can and where the moon actually is in the sky during each time :>. Get a FEEL for what the moon feels like in each sign ... what is happening around you how people behave etc etc .... will teach much more than reading from a book .
Love and light

Thank you, Swanspirit for the reply. This helped a lot but could you tell me some links where I could look up the specific times , like the ones you mentioned. I am getting frustrated. There is so much I want to learn but there never seems to be enough time. And how do you tie it all together?

If you truely want to learn Astrology, I suggest that you purchase two ephemerides, one, for the 20th century and one for the first half of the 21st. They can be purchased at most any book store, especially New Age or Occult outlets. Check to see if they give the Moon's position twice a day, which the better one's do. Sidereal ephemerides are more difficult to locate, but the more complete Tropical ones also list the SVP (synetic vernal point) at least once a month, which is used to convert the Tropical Zodiac to the Sidereal. As far as putting it all together, it takes time and patience. You will probably have to study under a qualified teacher at first, of which there are some on this site. If you are interested, you can send me a personal message (PM) or e-mail me from Mystic Wics, concerning this.
