Okay, so heres the deal.. I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. *shrugs* not sure if I am believeing it or not I just have this feeling that something else is wrong. So I called my local health department and asked if they could see me today. They were swamped but set my appointment for 1:30 on Monday...So we'll see what happens...also I told her my whole situation and she sounded really concerned.. uh oh..

I also looked up some stuff about stress online.. took a stress test and it said if you score a 250 or higher your overstressed.. I scored a 285 yikes.. All the symptoms I have been having can be stress related to.. didnt know that. Thank you all for posting on my first thread.. was a little freaked out. Wont know until monday if I am definetelty preggers..

From what I've read, home pregnancy tests have a very low false negative rate (false positives are more common), so it's highly unlikely you're pregnant.

Unless it's ectopic.

A tubal pregnancy. A home pregnancy test can come up negative if someone has a tubal pregnancy because her hCG levels may not rise like those of a viable pregnancy. Sometimes they don't double like they're supposed to; sometimes they rise and then drop again. I had to go through a slew of checkups two months ago to make sure I miscarried and wasn't ectopic.

I wouldn't worry too much about that unless you start getting severe pains in your abdomen and/or bleeding.

It also depends on when you take the tests. With my son I took two tests immediately after missing my period, one at home and one at a Doctor's office and both came back negative. Then another a week or so later that finally came back positive.

You're going on Monday. While you said the person at the doctor's office sounded concerned, if they thought there was immediate danger they would have had you come in right away, crowded or not. Calm yourself down, Hon. I know it's hard (all too well I know), but the more stressed you get, the worse you're going to feel. If you get any severe pains or bleeding over the weekend, go to the ER. Those were my instructions from my own doctor two months ago when I was waiting through the weekend for my appointment. :hugz: It'll be all right. One way or another, it'll be all right.

As for your fiance--yes, he knows your body. He is not, however, going through exactly what you're going through. No matter how close you are, he cannot feel exactly what you're feeling. Also, some people don't stress out about things until they become immediate. The fact that you won't be going to the doctor until Monday gives him some breathing space. I know you're afraid, Hon, but don't be angry with your fiance for dealing with this how he needs to right now, for not dealing with this the way you think he should. It may turn out to be nothing. I'm sure if it turns out to be something serious you're fiance will be right there with you.

My fiance was the same way around me. He didn't want to show me his own pain and worry because he didn't want to give me anything else to stress about. He knew how much pain I was in--both physically and emotionally--so he swallowed his own hurt temporarily so he could be strong for me. It wasn't until the other day (two months after the fact) that he told me how deeply he was wounded by the miscarriage.

While I was in the operating room, having the D & C done, he went downstairs to get something to eat. The elevator was out of service, so he had to walk around the floor to a different one. He ended up walking right through the maternity ward, where he broke down and cried for a good ten minutes. He spent t he entire time waiting for me to come out of recovery hoping that the elevator was put back up so he wouldn't have to subject me to that.

Try not to be so hard on him. If you need him, tell him. He may not realize the depths of your fear and worry.

Your right, I just really wanted him to be there for me. That probably is what hes doing, but I cant be sure. Good advice though, thanks I will go to the ER if I have any severe pains or bleeding. Me worrying doesnt seem like its doing me much good. I will try and calm down, just bothers me so much that theres something wrong with my body.

Ive been through alot of medical problems before and this is just something else to put on top of it.

Now that I thought of it, I have polycistic kidney disease and that has to do with my kidneys which filters urine.. do ya think that maybe that could be affecting the test? hmm just something I thought of.. gonna try and look it up lol

Thanks Again!!

Does having kidney disease make pregnancy more complicated?

Having kidney disease can make pregnancy more complicated; the more severe your kidney disease, the more complicated pregnancy becomes. Ask your doctors just how severely your kidneys are diseased. Most of the possible complications that may occur can complicate any pregnancy even when the kidneys are normal; these include anaemia and infection of the urine. Pre-eclampsia is one potentially serious complication of pregnancy that is more common in women with kidney disease.

Hmm.. I found this at a website.. could be explaning all my problems..
