This First Quarter moon is applying to Saturn, which usually indicates a time of seriousness and contemplation, and sometimes losses through Mundane (earth) activities. It may manifest itself in a defeciency of energy, a slight sickness, or some other physical debilitation. Usually stock markets decline under this aspect. Althought the Sun-to-Saturn Novile aspect will not occur until after the Moon passes the 90 degree position from the Sun, it wll none the less, be effective for the duration of the First Quarter. First Quarter will culminate on Aug. 25th at 12:56 AM PDST. The Sun will pass Novile to Saturn on Aug. 27th - well after the Quarter Moon. Any quarter phase of the moon to Saturn , especially those occurring on a full or new moon phase, often dentnotes earthquake activity, although I have seen significant ones come into being during quarter phases as well, but not as often however. As is usual, trying to pinpoint where such an event occurs is very difficult to say. However, it is suspected that a typical location could be in the southern California area, (including the Imperial and Coachella Valleys as well as those places west of the San Andreas fault,) and even the areas of western Mexico as is indicated by the associated Sidereal Leo-Solar Ingress Lunar chart. Although the most intensive placement is about 27 degees West longitude, (Iceland) of which there is no known active fault in an inhabitable area, especially in the temperate latutudes. This Quarter Moon influence is effective anywhere in the world where seismic activity is known to exist. Another area that is indicated is the temperate latitudes of 61 degrees East. This effectively places eastern Iran, western Afghanistan, and western Pakistan under alert. These areas are known to have frequent and acitive seismic faults. As to its intensity, and even if it occurs at all, is only SPECULATIVE. That the only thing for sure is after the next day and the quarter phase is over, and nothing happens, we will be "out of the woods" for a while more. If our readers will refer to the Weather Channel on the net, during this First Quarter, and view their earthquake maps, that usually what is found is an increase of seismic activity throughout the USA and the world in general -much of it being inconsequential.

So, according to Sidereal guidelines, what does this mean for me??

(02/15/1969 ~ 3:37pm) According to my Tropical chart, Saturn is in Aries. I don't know what the degrees is/are. I know it's been a strong Saturn year for me, so when I saw your post, I had to jump in here. :D

Mairwen, I need to know your place of birth and time zone, so the Ascendant with the other planets, especially the Sun, can be accurately located. -Love

OK mairwen, you are quite correct on having a Saturn year. Speaking in the Sidereal Zodiac the accent of this year's Solar Return is 0 12' 54" Pisces and Solar Return Saturn is close to 0 deg. Taurus. Also Centaur, Chiron is 0 deg. of Sagittarius. These two in combination foretells of losses, restrictions, inhibitions and and other types of difficulties , ones that you will remember for a long time to come, being indellibly set in your mind. All of this is pitted angainst your natal Pluto at 0 deg. Virgo, (Sidereal Zodiac). That there will be, for the duration of the Solar Year, and at sundry times, until your next birthday, unavoidable problems due to your inherent political positions (taken in the broadest sense of the term) and private (aloof) independence , Pluto being an (anti) social planet. Now to answer your question; it is improbable that the First Quarter Moon will have any affect on your Solar Return unless natal, or Tertiary Jupiter is also affected, as Jupiter rules your wealth and holdings. Your natal jupiter is about 9 deg. Virgo (Sidereal) while Tertiary Jupiter is somewhere about 3 deg. Scorpio( Stationary) (without going into extensive math to calculate its accurate position). Seldom does a mundane chart affect a person's Solar Return or current Ennead without some indication being present, contemporary with the TIME and PLACE of the forecasted event. On my next post l can give you the Tropical and Sidereal placements in your natal, if you are interested. (check your PM's)

Mairwen; if you do a Sidereal chart, please refer to the set-up and delineations of the 16-house division systems that are listed on a post from Aug. 8th.
