Oils or incense?

I just lit some peach oil, which smells wooooonderful, so I thought I'd ask you: what do you prefer, oils or incense?? :) I prefer oils by far, they don't give off the "burned" smell that incense does.

I don't see a poll here...but I like both. Incense however eminates a stronger scent which in turn, aids in longer meditative sessions. At least for me anyway.

I can't really answer on this one because I've never tried oils. My mother has some aroma therapy oils in her bathroom though, so I might ask her if I can use them. And actually, I love the burnt smell that incense gives off and the after-smell that lingers for the next few days. :D I know, I'm weird.

I love both.. but I prefer incense.. I love the burned smell actually and i feel like the scent stays in the air longer.. although the really cool thing is about oil.. my mom bought these little clay dishes that sit around the lightbulb on a lamp.. it heats it up and makes it smell wonderful.. hmmm.. maybe this is a harder decision then i thought ahhhh

i like these wax cake things a local shop owner introduced me to, you break them up and put them in an oil burner and they melt and smell really nice :D but after a few uses the smell goes. There a lot safer than oils and dont make the mess incense does. I love them!

I like my incense. I love essential oils and oil blends, in the bath or to heighten the scent of a sachet, but for "burning" I'm a slave to my incense.....I make my own rather delicious blend from frankincense, myrrh, dragon's blood, and a bit of cinnamon. I love the way it smells....hmmmm..time to get out the old mortar and pestle and grind up some more....

I use both incense and oils. It depends on my mood. My SO is allergic to some incense so I have picked up the oils to certain scents that I like so he doesn't have a reaction to them. Although I have found some oils to be just too overpowering.
I like the cakes too. ALthough I usually jsut break one open and leave it sitting out. Its more subtle.
