It began at 9:30pm sunday.
Nugget (corin) arrived and we loaded my stuff and the dogs, and went to mineral wells to get a few extra supplies before heading on 20 towards el paso.
along the way when the dallas stations ran out we searched for a new station and found the egal in abaline.
it was a clasic rock station but for 3 hours we heard a great selection of music, plus along the way to cali durring the entire trip we must have heard at least 6 songs that where talking about heading to california (synchronicity?)
so near dawn nugget has me drive, and from this area to elpaso i drove 75/80 mph.
we arrived in elpaso at noon, and new mexico, shortly after.
We stopped at a travel station and that is the last pic the ccame alowed me to take as it caused an auto rewind, only 8 pics in all.
never the less this part of new mexico was beautiful.
the plants, the mountains, all was wonderful. along the way we found a winery on I 10 in new mexico and got to do wine tasting with several yummy selections, i will post the list later with my recognmendations and a couple of recipies "ted the bartender" gave us. we then left and i drove as i was still coherent, about 30 minutes later the tired creeped in and i let nugget drive again.
i slept for a while and was woke up in arizona. (btw donbt listen to the 30 bilboards that tell you to come see the thing, it isnt worth your dollar) lol.
so the mountains in arizona where also very magestic, especialy in texas canyon.
when we got past tuscan, the heat was horrible.
then finnaly near 12 texas time we arrive in california, and almost ran out of gas about 30 miles from alpine due to the fact that it sucked alot of gas going through the mountains.
the stations out here rock and we arrived at 300 am texas time, we are now drinking the wine we bought from the winery, a excelent white zinfindel.
anyways we are here now, and as things progress there will be updates,
