View Full Version : Hot Under The Collar

Ariel had a bad incident today.
One of the male tenants tried to force himself into her
apartment, because he "knew she is a transvestite" and
he "wanted to get to 'know' her better."
She forced him back outside and he left.....and he came back
about 10 minutes later, and beat on her door, threatening
to rape her and kill her.
The police were called, they talked to this guy, but they did
not arrest him, because he said he would "behave" himself.
What a crock of sh**!
If it had been in a "better" neighbourhood, the police would have arrested him! :G :G :G :G :G :G :G
I will wait and give this scuzzball an attitude adjustment!
Please Goddess, let it be soon!

We are fortunate to have these apartments.
We have tried to find other places to live, but being
transsexuals, we have been turned down time and time again,
and we have no recourse....it is still legal for society to deny
us (all TS) housing, education, employment, etc., and things
will be much harder now since Campbell and his LIEberals
have pretty much dismantled the B.C. Human Rights Commission.

Sorry that happened...makes me embarrased to be part of this race sometimes!!!

Sounds like legal discrimination to me. Perhaps rather than go after the moron...go after the cops who are supposed to protect you. Or better yet...go kick his butt and then see how the cops respond to that...shouldn't be a problem as long as you promise to be good!!!

First of all, he made terroristic threats, which is a felony. Also, sexual harrasment. Call the cops again, then if they don't come, goto the state.

bloodstone20
August 19th, 2001, 04:05 PM
since it was a felony, the state would be against him. call your lawyer as well.

As bad as America can be at times. . . it sounds like Canada's laws REALLY suck. . . what's wrong with who you are? What's wrong with being different than what's considered "normal"? *shakes head* it really peeves me when I hear about this crap. . .

You have human rights, despite the fact that discrimination against you isn't technically illegal yet. If you have witnesses, you should definitely file a complaint against this guy. If he makes any sort of comment or action along these same lines, don't hesitate to get a restraining order against him. If you have witnesses to prove it, its a crime no matter who you personally are. This is the sort of thing that is a lot easier to prove, given witensses, than something like job or housing or education discrimination, and so it may be easier than you think.

I will be thinking happy and healing thoughts in your direction, which I'm sure every one else will be doing, too.

Maybe if we all work together, we can make a protective bubble around you two..? Anyone else think this is possible?

Well........ I do!!! I am sure this community does too!

You have every right to be peaked about this incident not being taken seriously. I would be too.

People are people irregardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, and religious beliefs.(sorry if I forgot anything) (just too mad to think straight!!!) Everyone has the same rights. Everyone deserves the same respect and consideration. If anything happens again, harass the police dept until you get something done. The squeeky wheel will get the grease!
and if that don't work..........
I am close enough to you to come and kick some butt with ya!!!!

How would he like it if a bunch of pagans tried to force thier way inot his apartment to get to know him better??

Take care of yourselves. Be careful to stay far and clear of idiot boy!

Big lovies and huggies to ya both.
I hope neither of you is too shaken up by this.

We will be talking to the building supervisor, and make it clear
to her that this man crossed the line, and that Ariel & myself
want him evicted.
If his eviction is not forthcoming, we will pursue legal action
against the Lookout Emergency Shelter Society, which manages
this apartment complex.

I was going to offer advice, but everyone else has covered it well. You have rights. Legal action is the best action. Even if nothing is accomplished now, it sets precident in case of a repeat offense. (Specifically a restraining order.)

And when all else fails, carry mace and after using it, beat him away with pillows or pushing him. It doesn't do any long-term damage (so he can't turn things around to where you jumped him) and is otherwise the perfect example of 'self-defense'.

They key is to make it absolutely and undeniably clear that you're the victims, not the agressors, no matter what he tries to say, and to make sure that someone somewhere has an official record of the incident in case it happens again.

"we will pursue legal action against the Lookout Emergency Shelter Society, which manages this apartment complex."

keep hammering and don't back down, you are not called on to "be nice" in a situation like this.

I'm sorry you both had to go through this and you feel you have no options.

It's not a Canadian thing tho at all, in fact one of my professors at our local college is a transvestite. All the other professors, faculty, and students treat her just like anyone else - with respect.

see. :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Maybe you need a little EXTRA protection. Perhaps a protective spell for you, and a binding spell for him.

If none of this works, maybe Rant will lend you his gun. It works against hot heads in the desert on motorcycles. Mayhaps it will work on a different type of hot head. :uzi:

can i come up and help? i'll guarantee he'll bounce at least three times when he hits the street, and rant's shotgun won't help, canadians aren't allowed guns anymore.

Sure we are, we just have to register them :D

Incidentally, if you feel compelled to do a protection or "return energy" spell I think you're very correct in doing so. If that happened to me you can bet that poor guy would do more then bounce down the road. I hope my post earlier wasn't too abrupt or seemed to lessen what you said. Brightest blessings to you both, I know we are all here to support you.
