The Saturn/Pluto opposition that is current, has been with us from late July and will be with us at least until early December, this year. And again, they will be in brief aspect during the month of May 2002. This opposition usually foretells of political problems throughout the world, even more so than what is usually going on without these two in position. Its greatest affect will be felt when the Sun is in a Novile aspect to with either Saturn or Pluto at times during the ensuing year. That this configuration (usually opposition or conjunction) often shows up in the charts of those who are crippled in their legs and/or feet in some usually, minor way. As this opposition comes angular on everyone' Secondary chart and Progressed Sidereal Solar Return, at some time within the next 4 months, it usually portends a time of difficulties with a note of crisis involved. Perhaps something is not working and leaves one stranded with a deadline to meet, or some such scenario, where there is failure with a contemporary political crisis. Also, it could show up as a debilitating critical evaluation of sorts, especially if either planet is conjunct or squared one's natal planet or Luminary, according to the meaning of that body. Either being on the MC/IC axis will experience an isolation set on a difficult political position with some losses to material holdings. Some folks will be more affected by it than others. People who have the natal Ascendant at (Tropically) 14 degrees of the Mutable signs (give or take about 5 degrees, or Sidereally, 20 degrees of the Fixed signs) will be most affected. Physically, it can be at the least somewhat debilitating or even in more extreme cases, showing up as an extended sickness. Much depends on the aspects of their current Solar Return, which always sets up on one' birthday. Perhaps the best way to keep on top of these two is to keep one's self healthy, and do not take liberty to indulge into any physically unhealthy or dangerous activities. Those whose birthday is on or near December 6th, or a multiple of 90 days from then, will undergo some personality changes because of these two, due to crisis and losses problems that one may encounter -one's that may or may not be of your own initiating. Also, that some people may struggle against a life style that they do not enjoy and begin to seek other professions and associations. For an historical reference, the last time these two were in opposition (which happens about every 36 years or so) , was back in April and May of 1965 and again in Feb. 1966 through mid-March of that year. However the '65-66 opposition was not as long in duration as the current one. Those who remember those times, during the Viet Nam conflict, should also keep in mind any personal events that correspond to the foregoing delineations, as often the emotions, if not the events, will repeat themselves. That those of you who are over 36 yrs of age and have Ascendants and birth Sun positions as previously mentioned will, unfortunately ,will be influenced with these two again,as the point of opposition appears to be near the same degrees of the Tropical Mutable signs.
