A small boy has come into our lives he is only 11 months old, and his mother no longer wants him ---- before you are harsh she is young herself and scared and overwhelmed....

anyway now a young man is going to have to take over all of the care, something he does gladly and is happy to do -- but in fairness he knows not yet what that will mean

she has shoved him out of the first 11 months of the babys life

soooooooo ............... as you all know miss hope is a sucker for innocent ones with out voices

so thoughts of easy transition for the baby, and for his parents to get what they need and to grow with ease

please join me in good thoughts for all of the children (they truly are still kids themselves) and maybe a thought that i have enough energy to help out caring for this little fellow as i have agreed --- laughs i hope i remember how to do a baby human and not just baby monkeys -- they dont have tails to grab as i recall ;)

he comes to me first thing in the morning

poor little guy is sad and confused, all he has known is his mom and now she is suddenly gone -- and all these new people -- sure they are nice but WHO are they -- and new houses

the funny thing is my monkey, who is VERY spoiled and doesnt like to share HER mom --- gets his little spirit is hurting -- she even trade poke my nose game with him this morning

he wants to be happy but has no idea how long anything will last

Gosh Hope, you got me teary eyed on that one. I can feel the wonderful feeling of seeing that little face lite up from good ol' loving attention!!
I have been in the situation of helping a wee one like this and the healing that takes place for both child and caregiver alike is tramendous!!! There is so much emotion involved...its moving in many ways.
And to know there is one more little guy that can be loved and excepted and nurished with kindness is so so so wonderful.
I am so glad for him and happy that you are you!!

Yeouch. The whole situation is pretty tough. Sounds like Mom just hadn't a clue what to do or how to do it, and things just went down from there. That has to be very hard on her. He sounds pretty sweet, and will probably adjust pretty well, kids tend to do that for some reason. The young man mentioned sounds pretty brave, but I'm guessing you are right when you say he doesn't really know how tough it can be.

So, the whole lot of you get stirred into the cauldron.

so child services has returned the baby to mom -- she thinks now she does want him -- and is claiming 5 men could be the father -- so the dna tests are in process

i will let you know -- but this child deserves -- peace of heart and mind

and i have to admit -- my heart is sad and worried

Please send good outcome energy for this child, his maternal grandmother had him for visitation and took him and ran, we don't know where they are.............

Wow! You have the most dramatic things happen around you!

I am not sure I understand how he came to be with you in the first place. I assume as emergency foster care, but that concerns me that a state would approve a terminally ill person with an exotic pet for foster care. No offense. Just curious.

How are you feeling by the way?

no i no longer do active foster care, because of my health

the dad, is a friend of the family, and when the child services allowed him to have him in his custody -- it was a total surprise and sudden do to the mom wanting to no longer have him (of course 3 days later she changed her mind-- sigh)

this young man was our neighbor (across the street) and we are friends with his aunt and cousins --- he works with my daughter (in fact helped her get hired there)

so when he suddenly needed day care -- he came to me -- since i am home during the day

the mom lives in oregon and we all live in idaho ---- so when she wanted him back he had to be returned to the services in oregon -- until it could all be sorted out -- and then they allowed the maternal grandmother to see him and she has decided the best thing is to NOT involve courts or let the father have the baby but to instead run with him

the baby at least does have a relationship with her, and there is "belief" she has gone to family in calif -- so the hope is it will be resolved quickly

but this poor child has been bounced around MORE than ANY child should be and all at only 11 months old -- shakes head

and my health -- well that depends who you ask, i am told my color looks great, and i do have more energy -- i just had blood work done and my counts are actually improved --- i have also been practicing a wheat/gluten free diet for about 2 weeks now and that has made a HUGE difference in the amounts of bone pain and energy -- so i am learning more about the allergy they call celiac sprue -- it seems that perhaps this ongoing depression on my immune system has been something that has lead to my body being unable to heal up :)

You know that is sweet but I truly think that most people would do what i did and take in a baby -- and support a family friend

i just hope this little guy get's a good outcome

shakes head it's one of the reason i have always done the work i do with kids -- we (grown ups) have voices and if you choose to not use them it's that YOUR choice

children and animals don't have voices or choices very often

and i think it's your job to speak up for them, and if it means you end up surrounded by hard times, and poor decisions of others so be it -- it you get tired or burned out you can take a break ----- they can't
