the other day while me a w00tman were at the park, a guy came up to us who was all homeless-looking and had a little grocery bag full of stuffed animals and beanie babies that he said he would sell to us for $5 and kept bugging us to buy one even though we said we didnt have any money, which we didnt. then he brought out this little kitty beanie baby that was really adorable but like i said we didnt have any money. and then he starts talking about how hes doing this for his church and how he never gets any money out of it and this and that... until he finally gives up, shakes our hands, and walks back to his picnic table.

we saw him the next day walking down the road all pimped out which his hair all nicely done and not nearly as pitiful looking as he did the day before.

hey, i guess its how people make a quick dollar... :twitch:

Thats sad.

I know there was a guy in our city last year that got busted because he didn't actually need a wheel chair and he wasn't actually broke. But he was on the streets everyday acting it up.

That's just odd, although, if he had already paid for them, and wasn't charging you more than what he paid (doubt it) I don't see the problem. It'd be like a yard sale that came to you. The problem is, you don't know where he got the stuff, or anything about it.

We have a guy here, who holds a 'begging sign' for a living. I used to feel sorry for him, passed him money when I could, brought food for his dog......until the day I watched him climb into his brand new big-@$$ Dodge truck:mad:
Freinds of mine have followed him to see whre he lives............shoooooot, I wish I had his house.:(

theres also a guy in my area who is deaf who walks around giving people cards around lunchtime asking for a few dollars for food... once i gave like 5 dollars and he seemed so excited! he gave me a big hug and the hand signal for i love you!

we saw him again just the other day, i hadn't seen him in ages... and i felt so bad because we had all this money in our cash register and we couldn't give him a dime. :sadman:

we have a few people in our neighborhood... there is one guy who sits at the bus stop all day.. he gets to be annoying sometimes... but people give him food and probably money... He always smokes cheap cigars and makes the place stink though... I rarely give money to people, they might go out and buy drugs or alcohol with it... Sometimes i would go to church with a friend in downtown LA, and we would go driving around giving food, water, and clothing to the homeless...

There's this guy who walks by my friends house every day...my friend knew him but he tripped on acid so many times. He walks by with a small flag or a twig in his hands...rolling it slowly. My friend calls him twiggy...I feel kind of bad. He has a house and everything But I still feel sad

Christmas is coming, I guess we'll be seeing a lot of that kind of stuff going on. Seems to be about the only time there are people w/signs asking for money on every corner.

I fed the homeless once with my friends catholic church. I felt really good about it. That was probably the first and last time I've felt that good about doing anything. I want to do it again someday. I feel so bad for the homeless, you know? cause around here atleast, a lot of them are people who were released from insitutions and such and had nowhere to go. :(

Theres one old guy in town that we always bring food to, or blankets in the winter. He lives out of a shopping cart:( I don't know why he doesn't go over to the shelter...maybe he just feels more at home outside:whatgives
