Does anyone know of any Pagan or non-Pagan books that deal with explaining to young girls what they should expect from developing into women? I've noticed my daughter is starting to bud and getting peach fuzz under her arms. I need a place to start and to make sure I cover all the bases, not really rituals that will come soon enough.

I'm sure some can relate thier horror stories of when they were girls turning into women and that is what I am trying to avoid. if anyone has any positive stories I'd like to hear them.

there's really nothing positive about it, in my opinion. i hated the transformation personally. i can only wish you luck with your daughter, though. if you stumble, or are having a hard time, though, just ask us about the problem. i'm sure one of us will have an answer.

I think the most important thing will be to help your daughter celebrate and find joy in this life change. The only things I remember about that time were how my mom celebrated with me by taking me out to dinner, and was very open to talking about it, not the books I read at the time. :) I wish I could offer more. We had Naillosotarrain's Mom send us the movie she used with him and my son really liked it. It covers boys and girls and I liked it too. It's called "The Facts of Life" and it's worth looking for.
