A visit from a Raven this morning

So I am concerned. Last night I could not sleep at all. No reason everything in my life is better than it has been in a while. So I get ready and come to work this morning. I do some work and go out about 30 mins after I got to work to have a smoke. There concrete concrete retention things in the back and the far side is lower than the side closest to the parking lot. I always go to the low side and squat down to look in at all the bugs and frogs and whatever is in there. Well this morning is no different except as I am looking down a Raven flys up and lands on the high side of the wall about three feet away from me at eye level from where I was squatting and looks me dead in the eye. It was a very healthy looking Raven except it looked like it had been flying for a while and had not stopped to prune it's feathers. (No wind here this am either) Well I freeze, I know what a visit from a Raven stands for. So we look into each others eyes for like 10 seconds (it felt like 10 hours) then it jumped towards me, spread it's wings and at the last second pulled up and landed on a branch directly above my head. before it pulled up I could have reached out and touched it if I would have had the nerve. So I have looked and I do not like the results of what I have read this morning as to what it could mean. I was hoping someone here could give me some insight as to what type omen this might be.

I'm confused....

When I get visits, it can mean a variety of things. Sometimes it's a heads-up that something's about to happen. Sometimes it's a smack on the head that I need to get back to work. Sometimes it's warning ...

Well I guess I am saying I usually would know but I am uncertain. Generally they fly left or right and that tells soem of the story sometimes they come in pairs meaning joining or peace. This one was devoid of emotion from what I could tell. Sometimes A raven could be concidered a good omen. My fear is this time it is not but I do not want to jump to conclusions. Though that is what I feel. I think it might be a bad omen for me. It did not crow so it was not telling me of someone elses misfortune. I think it was telling me something is going to happen today. I am not 100% sure though so I thought I might ask what you all might think.

to be perfectly honest, based on my own experiences, it doesn't sound good, but it might not e too bad, either. Usually when I have a sleepless or rough night & see a crow, something DOES happen...it's a warning or a heads-up of bad stuff coming. Once it was the death of my ex-husband's grandfather. Once it was just a fight b/t my current & his ex.

If you feel it's a warning, then I'd suggest you just keep your eyes & ears open & take heed. I always feel like "OMG, this is so BAD" & more times than not, it's nothing so terrible, and it's nothing happening to me per se, but to others to whom I am close.

(The last time I had that bad feeling & saw a crow, I called my current & asked if he was ok. About 2 minutes after we hung up, his ex called to say a man was trying to force his way into her apt!! Luckily, Mr. Man believes in my feelings & went right over to check on her & their 2yo daugher & the police were called & Mr. Man scared the bad dude away.)

Hmmm.... Well I am keeping my eyes open. I have had the feeling deep down that something was wrong since then. I pray that nothing terrible happens to me or anyone I care for. I guess only time will tell. I am calling my girl now. Maybe my Mom too. :-)

I am still kickin today and I do not know of anyone in my life that had hardship yesterday. Guess I got worked up for nothing.

Another thing to be pointed out though I am unsure of what tribes but there are tribes to have ravens as tricksters and not to be trusted and yet Ravens can also be very helpful spiritual guides. You have to make the Call for yourself to really and truly know the meaning in your heart and the dream mind.
