I recently realized that I'm a pagan, but not sure how to go on. I found a book called Everyday Moon Spells by Dorothy Morrison. I have tried a few spells. I can't they were a failure, but I wonder how successful they were. I have tried the spell for a new job, and that definitely did not work. I quess my faith has been shaken. I tried yesterday to search for jobs, but I keep hitting a barrier that put the whole process off for another day. I like to procrasinate (sp?). I should probably get up tomorrow and try again, but I' m afraid of defeat again. I should probably mediate and have faith the the universe will provide when I actually need it, not when it is convient to me. How do you know when a spell has worked? I rarely feel different after doing a spell. Should I go outside? I usually stay inside. Should I always light a candle even if the spell does not say? I listen to my intution. I would say it is 99.9% acurate lately. So I keep following. Let me quess I should keep following it and the universe will provide in time.
Thank you for your time :)

You know what they say, practice makes perfect. Also you might want to study up some more before you cast spells, cause understanding goes a long way to determining if a spell works or not. Also you have to give it time. it might take a few weeks or even months, depending on the spell.

I recently realized that I'm a pagan How did you come to realize this? Did some-one tell you or is paganism in your ancestry? but not sure how to go on. I found a book called Everyday Moon Spells by Dorothy Morrison. I have tried a few spells. Most people will tell you that you shouldn't jump into spell-work immediately. You should first study a year.I can't they were a failure, but I wonder how successful they were.[/qoute](missing word) First rule in magic is not to put a negitive thought(i.e. Energy) in the way you think. Just be positive that it did work. If in thirty day(one moon) it has not manifested and you still have the need than try the spell again,"With Feeling"[quote]I have tried the spell for a new job, and that definitely did not work. as of yet. I guess my faith has been shaken. I tried yesterday to search for jobs, but I keep hitting a barrier that put the whole process off for another day. I like to procrasinate (sp?). Sometime it's only seems like procrastination. When in reality it's your GuidingSpirit or Deity lining you up for what you really need/want. I should probably get up tomorrow and try again, but I' m afraid of defeat again. This is a "Negitive Thought" it works against "Positive Energies". I should probably mediate and have faith the universe will provide when I actually need it, not when it is convient to me. How true How do you know when a spell has worked? This is a hard question. First, if it happened or happens than you know. Second , If you believe it to be so (such as healing energies).I rarely feel different after doing a spell. Should I go outside? I usually stay inside. It doesn't really matter. It is all about how you feel. Do you think you should or shouldn't. I know you may think that this did not answer the question, but "Visualization" and "Empowered Thought's" is 50% of how it work and the other 50% is belief.Should I always light a candle even if the spell does not say? If if helps you focus on your intent, yes. But it is not necessary. I listen to my intution. I would say it is 99.9% acurate lately. So I keep following it. Let me guess I should keep following it and the universe will provide in time. Intution is how your G/S keeps in touch with you. It is this intution or feeling that is your HigherSelf staying in touch with the Universal Consciousness.
Thank you for your time. No problem. there are many here that will be glad to help you. There are also classes in the teaching threads that you may want to join. Good luck. and Merry Meet.

Procrastinate: WordWeb (http://%3C/b%3Ehttp://wordweb.info/free/) This is a link for a free dictionary. Don't take this the wrong way "I" myself had to "highlight it"(that's all you have to do in most cases) and turn WordWeb on to see if you were right. But we're not her to talk about that.

LOL! Nope, not at all. I did however get someone to contact lunalover, so y'all don't need to worry about tryin' to help unless she comes back looking for more input.

I agree with HuntinOwl. It takes a lot of time and meditation to understand why and how spells work. I think that you will have more faith in the craft after studying it more. I think that faith is the only thing that your spells are missing.

I realized I was a pagan because I never really felt comfortable with Christanty, Jewism, Buddamism, etc. I always believed in nature, the turn of the seasons, and the moon. I did decide this over night it has taken a good twenty years to reach this.
Thank you answering my questions. Yes, I should study more...sorry.
I will work on having more faith and think positively.
