Or, in this case, don't say.
I just found out, in the last week, that I have 2 things wrong with me.
1) fibroid tumors in the uterus. They're benign, and all they do is give horrendous cramps and things like that.
2) Ataxia. It's a very mild form of cerebral palsy. Soemtimes, I can't control my muscles, but I have perfect hand-eye co-ordination and my speech is fine, though I do have a funny gait.

Why couldn't she have told me -sooner-? :wah:

:hugz: She knew and still didn't tell you? You are just finding out? How long have you had it and how long did she know?

I'm just finding out.
She's known since I was a baby. She was all upset because the doctors weren't going to tell her. And then she doesn't tell me.
I'm just glad that some things are finally explained. Like why doctors before told me I had a strange walk.

Maybe she did not want you to be "labeled".

I am sorry to hear that you have these problems but I can relate..I have a brother who is 19 currently .. I found out about him when I was 16 by my mother telling a friend of mine and not me.. neither of my parents told me about him.. I am currently 23 and I just finally got a picture of him even though I still have yet to talk to him.

Labelled or not, I'd like to have known! haha.
I don't mind having ataxia. It's not like it'll kill me unless I twitch too hard.

The sins of our mothers. :\
I'm sorry, Kel. Mothers seem to have lots of weird reasoning behind the things they do that seem right on a basic level to them. Unfortunately, it results in stuff like this.

How can you not tell your child that they have a problem.. the sooner you seek help the sooner you get better..even if it doesn't ever go away. Im sure your mother had her reasons..but u deserved to know! :yikes:
