Does anyone have any ideas on what I could use as a pain killer? My usual standbys just arent' cutting it.
I just had surgery on my neck last Monday and I'm really hurtin'. :(
I tried the remedies I usually use for my migraines, but it's not helping the pain in my neck (no pun intended, hee hee).
I would appreciate any ideas you all might come up with.
Thanks!!

HI,
Assuming that there may be some inflamation left after your surgery, I would suggest you try Devil's Claw. It is anti-inflamatory and a good analgesic - also is mildly anti-depressant which can be a good thing when you are in pain.
No known side-effects although I know a few people who have had headaches. But then I know other people including myself who take it specifically for headaches (especially hangovers!)
Just as an example, I was taking morphine for a severe back problem just a couple of years ago. However, once I found Devil's Claw, I was back at work 2 weeks later.
If you do try it stick with it, it can take up to a week to work and DON'T TAKE any other anti-inflamatories with it.
Hope you feel better soon (I'll light a candle for you on Saturday when I do my distance healing).
