God/Goddess of Nightmares?

I just had an interesting thought, I know there are several Deities of dreams, and protectors of dreams, Morpheus is my Dream God, I just sort of figured that since there are Deities of dreams, there Has to be deities of just nightmares somewhere in the world.

absolutely, unequivicably the Goddess of nighmares. even in ancient times it was believed that any deity that could control or protect you from demons could also send them to you in dreams. and not just nightmares, but madness and turmoil as well.

Well, technically nightmares ARE dreams, just not good ones, so any dream god could send you either nightmares or sweet dreams.

Good point, I know that Morpheus has sent me both nightmares, and every bizarre, and pleasant dream in between. But I also know that Bes is protects people from nightmares as well.

I read a book recently about Pan and part of it spoke about his connection to nightmares. I forgot the name of the book and the author but I can find out if you'd like.
