Soren Kirkegaard described a "leap of faith" as standing on the edge of the abyss filled with mist, and not being able to see he bottom, stepping out and knowing that God will catch you.

What has your leap of faith been?

Moving here to RI with my hubby. Leaving friends, family, and everything unfamiliar behind. Not knowing what things were like here, or if hubby and I would last......it's still something that tests my faith...daily.

My name is this, because My religous practice involves seeing through the mists, and to see the unknown. So my faith lies within if I can penetrate it. Oh I make no sens

Picking up what was left of my destroyed pride and humanity while accepting what happened as one of the many directions of destiny.

when I stopped blaming 'god' for making my dad suffer so much for so long before he died, and finally accepting that it was meant to be.

In my third (out of four) year of university, deciding that I didn't want a Bachelor of Education, and got my Bachelor of Arts instead. In other words, moving from a path of security to a path of never knowing where I'll succeed.
My second leap will be when I go back to school....when ever that is :)

Being able to accept my Personal Path with absolutely nothing to back it up except for my own understandings for the way things are...

Choosing to wear the black socks, instead of the white socks, this morning. ;-)

I'm still cowering at the top of the cliff. I'll let you know when I get the ba....er...courage up to jump.

Faith is not among my virtues.

Hoever, I have felt resignment to my situation... I understand that someday, I'll be at this cliff, and someday I may have to jump, and probably nobody will be there to catch me. Who said it, "The only two certainties in life are death and taxes."

I think it'll be graduating college this coming spring. I have no idea what I'm going to do with my self after that but I'm sure something *right* will come my way.
