At 17 my collection of miscelaneous is fairly extensive, especially as Iwork and get so much off my family, but boy oh boy do my tastes change and now I have things I never use. I have a gold watch and bracelet which I have never even worn simply because I don't wear gold, I have crosses comming out of my earsgames only played once, music which I have gone off, clothes of varying styles which looked good instore but I've never nor never will wear.ornaments which look out of place, books which are just sat collecting dust. You get the picture?

But the only places I know where you can sell my collection is ebay, and I'm at 17 a year too young. I don't want to give away my collection, there's at least a hundred pounds there, nor do I want to horde it. So it looks like I won't have full access to my room for another year as there's so much stuff in here. Man I hate being so near and yet so far

Car boot sale? There are ways round not having a car either. Some places have indoor stalls that you can set a table up at.

oh gee... how terrible to be so wealthy and have so much stuff you just can't use

And then to be burdened because there is so much money there that you would make too much to give it away to people who have less than you.

*Shrugs* Live with it.

Did I say I have the money? I'm 17 and working my way through college followed by uni. Yeah I get expensive gifts, but is that my problem? Besides what good are expensive gifts if keeping them means I can't afford my education? Yes I want to sell my stuff because I want money for things I can use such as course materials. So stuff you and you're dissaproval.

A car boot sale? Thanks for the idea hun. I'll see if I can find one somewhere. They shouldn't be that difficult to find. Could they?

Try checking the local paper or community centre/supermarket ad boards. You might have a community website as well. They tend to be quite well advertised locally, just keep your eyes open. They tend to charge a few pounds to set up a stall but to cut those consider going with a friend or two and split the cost.

yeah my mom does that to the big things too. It's like my gold watch and bracelet, I hid them under my nail poishes, my crosses are under my college work, my ornaments are at my window. You have to be seriously clever to find em unless you know where to look.

It's got to the stae where I need the money though for college, uni and hopefully a skip year. So I have now become an oxxymoron in my rents eyes, meaning I work my ass off while struggling to find time for my coursework. can you believe a lass a year younger than me, with less qualifications in the same job is getting paid more?

my moms so bad with money she actually whent out and bought my bf a bike. She gave my last one to my cousins who dismantled it within a week. I could have got at least £100 for the bike.

Why not list your items in the Pagan Marketplace here on MW? You can make a thread, post your pics, and set your prices and shipping. You never know who here might want some of your *stuff* :)

How about a good old-fashioned yard sale?

And yes, you can market anything you want to sell in the marketplace forum. :)

I had thought of a yard sale, but I live litrally in the middle of the countryside. The only drawback I can think of about living here *hugs the countryside*

ok, some batteries for my camara and I'll start selling my things off :)

Im 18 and I havent really bought things(except from books, the occasional pair of socks and a few tshirts) since I was 15. Thats one of the pros of joining the army(youth division), the only drawback is that I tend to wear alot of green shirts and walk around in boots.

Now that I think about it, I havnt even gone to a hairdresser(think thats the right word) in three years.

And in eight months Ill prolly(if I the budget cutbacks dont affect me) start working full time as a tank vommander on a leopard II tank or as an arctic warfare spec/ anti-tank platoon leader.

but If I were you I would ask ANYONE whos 18 to sell it over ebay for you, anyways I hope that it will work out for you.

How about having your parents set you up a paypal and ebay account in one of their names for your use.

Her parents would probably be like, "Why on earth would you want to sell that? I know Sally would love to have it. *take, give away*"

Right?

yeah or...But your grandma gave it you, you can't sell a present...
I don't wear gold
tough *snatchs it* I'll look after it until you do

if my mom gave it away it would be to someone on her side of the family who would destroy it within the week :S
