do you watch professional sports

just figured i'd ask. some people think they are stupid, or boring. other people LIVE for them. now we will find out... what the good and happy folks of MW say... about SPORTS!

*sobs* i'm all alone so far in my sports watching ways... oh well at least i still have my hubby to watch with me.. he likes them WAY more than I do.

i dont' like baseball too much... but i love basketball and the occasional football... and WOOOO!! i LOVE WRESTLING!!!

Heh! I've worked for 13 years in a stadium that has football...not once did I ever watch one of the games here...don't tell my boss! :D

But, I perfer the minor leages. They cost less and seem to care more about they fans. I hold season tickets to the local minor leage baseball team.

Can u give me a big H*** Yeah for watching sports. I watch just about EVERYTHING, but as some of you know <Eaglewolf> I LOVE BASEBALL! Especially them NY YANKEES! Been a fan since I was born, lo these 31 years ago. Yeah, I know, just about everyone hates 'em, but I don't care.

I watch football, I route for the teams with the cutest quarterbacks in that. Right now, my current favorite team is the Green Bay Packers, cause I just think Bret Farvre is a hotty.

Then there's my other fave sport.....HOCKEY!!!!! I love watching it. I still (after about 15 years watching) can't keep the rules straight, but I don't care. It gets my aggression out when I watch. I'm a NY Rangers fan. When the won the cup in 94, it was on my b-day (technically, the game ended after midnight). I ran out side screaming in front of my apartment building. My uncle called me yelling he could die now. But the S**K now, hopefully with a few of the moves they made during the off season we can get somewhere, but I'm not holding my breath.

I just finished watching the LL World Series. The "Baby" Bronx Bombers just won ANOTHER GAME!!!! Go NY!

Now the X games are on. You guys should've seen this jump this one kid did on his motorcycle! It was incredible!!!! He did a split off the bike while he was making his jump. It's hard to describe but it was AMAZING!!!!

K, I'm done now. sports high ending. Really, I'm not like those freaky jock people you see. I just enjoy a good game. Won't catch me watching Golf or tennis much. Especially golf, never could get into it.

Really, i'm gonna stop now. I'm sure you all think i'm even weirder now! 8O

I like watching gymnastics, and ice skating, and you can't tear me from the TV during the Olympics, but I can't help finding basketball and football boring as heck.

Bow down and worship all yee mortals! hahaha just kidding...But seriously, I live for the sport. *starts counting down days until hockey season starts again while building up her arm reflexes so as to have more accurate shot at tv when Canucks get scored on* I say they should make a "sports fan tv" with bulletproof glass so when disgruntled fans (such as myself) let the controller rip (or any other small article that makes satisfying *ting* noise upon contact) they dont have to worry about the glass breaking! What do YOU guys think? hehe ;)

Oh man, hockey's the BEST! Something's always happening in hockey, unlike "sports" like golf where you have to wait 4 hours for one round to be played! 8O I dunno, all the unecessary violence is a real stress crusher for me! teehee!

i don't dislike them, its just that i couldn't care less about them.
I've had friends who have tried to get me into it, and I guess I can appreicate why they like them, but, its just never, ever, done anything for me.

I have to say that I watch far less than I did when I was young but that's just cus they all turned into whiney b|+<h3s! (baseball strike, basketball strike, no more brawling in the NFL... etc. :rolleyes: ) Oh well... maybe they'll come to their senses! hehe ;)

I love watching basketball, Playoff time I'm glued to the t.v watching my Lakers whoop some..... booty :) I like hockey however I don't like watching it on T.V. But I like going to watch live games.

I really enjoy watching world football (otherwise known as soccer in the US and Canada). I'm born and raised in the US but I've been a soccer fan since I was a little kid.
My dad and I have watched every match of the past three World Cup competitions. We follow various country premier league play, including the US MLS. Sometimes we watch games together when we are in different locations by being on the phone almost the entire time. It started because my TV system has more sports channels and I could get the games broadcast in English, and he could only get the game on the local Spanish channel. I would provide the English commentary for him.
Besides, I don't think anything beats being able to oogle the butts of 36 men in short shorts. :)

I love football. I've been a fan of the Denver Bronco's since I was a kid.. I cried when they won their first superbowl, and I cried once again when they won their second, I was so proud of them!! I miss John Elway, but I'm happy that he's doing the family thing.. he seems happy.

I like hockey, big fan of the Avalanche. :) hehe

Not too big a fan of baseball, unless I'm actually AT the game, then it's fun. I miss playing softball with my friends.. I stopped playing when I got whacked in the mouth with a ball, and I had braces. It took me DAYS to get my lips untangled from the wires. Ugh.

I LOVE football...Buffalo Bills to be exact, since I was a kid. But now that they got rid of Flutie I may have to go to the Chargers. I even had a Viking fan ask me for my autograph at a Bills game, he told me I was the craziest fan he's ever seen!!!!

Then we have HORSE RACING!!! Woo Hoo! Give me a couple bucks and a horse track and I'm there baby. Point Given is the best horse since Secretariet!

Hockey is cool too I find myself watching that every now and again. Baseball is getting more interesting, I don't understand all that much of the rules though. I've seen a few good basketball games in my day. And ok, I admit it...the other day...I watched golf on TV... I know I'm a junkie...it's sad...
