Just thought I'd share my way-old recipe for making ones own wand, as it occurred to me that I have never come across anyone else who does it this way and maybe it could be an inspiration to others.
My wands are elder-wands. You harvest an elder wand, hollow out the spongy bit in the middle, into which you can now add your own choice of magickal herbs, crystals etc. You then seal it with beeswax or something else (running candle perhaps). You can carve your symbols etc on the wand as you please.
And then your wand is ready :)
