First public ritual

Well I participated in my first public ritual last night.
The Pagan Alliance from the University of North Florida did a ritual for Mabon and I participated in it. It was fun. I called south. For most of those who participated it was our first ritual, not to mention our first public ritual.
We had good turn out of visitors. Someone said they counted 22-25 people watching. About half that stayed for our little social afterwards.
I just wanted to share my experience. It was a very good one.:dancy:

a public ritual can really be exhilarating, can't it? i always like the way passing people stop and look... they most often have awe or something like it rather than disgust... and most of the time they come over and start talking afterward!

my first ritual was drawing a circle to protect myself from evil. Took a bottle of ground silver and spread it around my bed and had the best nights sleep I had in ages. Not very public though.

I definitly had an interesting feeling to it.
I'm just glad we didn't have any protesters or anything of that nature.
I can't wait till our next one which is going to be for Samhain. Ritual then a costume party on the 27th I think.
