View Full Version : Today I cried...

Today is a sad day. Awhile back I posted for help saving my tree and today the tree was cut down.

It was too late to save the tree. I could see the earwigs and the ants and the wasps and a few red beetles, but what I couldn't see was deep deep inside.

My 13 yr old daughter and I stood over the tree this afternoon to say goodbye and bless it with prayer and energy. And the man who cut the tree told me " You know even trees have a lifetime like people." kinda nodding and asking and stating it all at once. (Like maybe I was slow or confused) It was sweet because he really didn't "get it", why we were sad. He was very very nice and agreed to plant a new tree if we would like. As he cut away the entire inside of the tree was dark in color and soft like foam. Like the kind you buy at the store to put flowers in.

So it was obvious the tree was not going to make it and cutting it was needed. Then we found the boring worms, and the bark beetles inside, and as we got to the roots they are eaten away too.

Today I'm sad and a little worried about my other large trees in the front yard, and hoping for the best. And also aware of the lesson I was taught today....that I am here to help not to make the final vote on what lives and what dies, and that it doesn't matter how bad I want it, it has already been decided.

Perhaps my 11 yr old son said it best "Mom the tree's spirit is already gone, that is just an empty shell, we can't change that and I'm gonna go watch Zoom."

Love and light

Awww! Hope, this may be small comfort but think of it as part of the living cycle. In anything ending, let there be a new beginning. The man's right...plant a new tree. You can do a blessing or a dedication ceremony over the new tree. Maybe the tree deva will come back to live there.

Hugs!

ALL THINGS COME AND ALL THINGS GO. IT'S THE WAY OF NATURE HERSELF. I'M SORRY THAT YOU'RE SAD, BUT EVERY NEW BEGINNING COMES FROM SOME OTHER BEGINNING'S END. THAT TREE HAD TO DIE TO GIVE ANOTHER A CHANCE AT LIFE.
